Japan is a very homogenous nation and with this homogeniety comes a great deal of culture. I don't think the few genetically confused will take offense to a term like "hafu".

Hopefully the Chinese will not only buy things, but those who are in powerful positions in their community can learn from the Japanese and improve their surroundings in China instead of settling into Japan permanently.
