I travel SFO to Nagoya 4 times a year since 1993. I've flown most of the airlines on that route and have been with JAL since 1997. They tend to the little things that makes the flight comfortable. The worst has been United. Being told to 'sit down!', waiting on a soda for over an hour then having it served with attitude. Their attendants tend to be older, probably more experienced that should know better, but they tend to be tired, unfriendly, and sometimes, just plain rude.

Nigerians, the bad ones, are the biggest scam artists online right now. They think nothing of outright stealing a couple thousand and will even end their scam with a 'God Bless'. Unfortunately, Nigerians, the good ones, are completely indifferent to criminal Nigerians. I saw an interview with the Nigerian equivalent to the Chief of Police ... it was obvious scam artists give him kick backs. The law doesn't matter, they behave exactly like Somali pirates. They don't care cause no one does anything about it. Disgraceful! Shameful! Evil!

By the way, this story made Sportscenter, where the announcers were stunned that 50,000 fans would sign a petition to keep a manager. There's a lot of crazy things happening in Japan right now, but this is definitely one of the good things.

Bobby's an old school baseball guy, which transcends where he is. I'm sure he could coach in China or Holland and get a great response out of his team and relate to the fans. Either Lotte aren't much of a baseball organization or they're doing the 'typical' hammer the nail that sticks out. Lotte needs Bobby more than Bobby needs them. He's good for baseball in Japan. Hope he signs with another Japanese team. He's always welcome back in the MLB as well. ganbatte Bobby!
