So exactly why did they increase the cost of electricity and exactly why are families up north living in government made shacks that are falling apart? There's more but I'm sure you all get the point!

Almost three years and we all believed or made to believe that no one lived in the evacuation zone. Or was that a state secret? The only thing that seems to be under control is deceiving the public. I smell the coffee.

This is a great thing however, it would be nice to see some evidence that it is reaching the children and not some adult's pocket.

Yubaru, for once I can totally agree with you. Also, would like to add that they'll most likely NOT take her to the areas where people are homeless and living in temporary housing. Which I might add are falling apart.

Either something is missing from this article or the police department is really screwed up. My applause goes to the sergeant for trying. 32 years here and I still can't understand this country! Give him his job back and a bonus for thinking about the public!

Yubaru, I'm afraid I must disagree. LDP is too powerful. Anyone who stands up, WILL get knocked down. Read the news, past and present. It has already been proven.

Thanks to a weak yen or thanks to a stronger China economy?

Jeff198527, remember this is Japan. Since the LDP took over the country, anything goes and there is nothing anyone can do about it. The best way to have a positive life here in Japan is to stop reading the English news about Japan and start watching Japanese news on TV.

My wife finds it odd that I like a clean house and gets angry if I clean up and put hers things in the proper place. And wash, dry and put the dishes away directly after a meal. Now how weird am I?

TEPCO under control, Rice not mislabeled, the food you eat in famous restaurants is high quality, we don't lend money to the mob, there is no danger of radiation for the children in Tohoku, etc, etc. So, with the media being control by you know who, do they really think people will believe this story. How gullible do they think to public is?

Forced resignation? Will they loose their pensions or is it an early retirement plan for them. Can't see any justice being done if they don't loose their pensions. These fat cats have enough money to enjoy the rest of their lives.
