I for one, LOVE the smell of cigarettes on an old man's breath late at night on a train with a hint of gyoza and whisky.

Oh I don't know, Hide. A truly miserable person would stay up nights scouring comment boards looking for anything deemed offensive to Japan. LOLOL (I laughed longer, does that mean I win?)

Minami Tamiyo - speaking of senseless comments, why would a Canadian say "God bless the USA"?
Hide - If pointing out the obvious fact that an 80 year-old's party is a 4 time operated on heartbeat away from danger is negative, you are being way too precious.

Hold off on the congratulations, as someone already pointed out, the descent is just as dangerous as the ascent.
Thats a lot of lives put in danger for an 80 year-old's foolishness.

rickyvee - Your original post claimed hashimoto hadn't denied the existence of sex slaves, which he clearly did by suggesting they were nothing more than paid prostitutes, or "comfort women". That is very clear and hardly a "straw man" argument, as you say. I wonder if you've read this story at all beyond the first few sentences..

rickyvee - you haven't answered my question (and I doubt I'll get an answer) Were the women volunteer "comfort women" or were they sex slaves?

Ah, lucabrasi - I think I may be able to shed some light on your confusion here. I read the story today, yesterday, Sunday, Saturday, Friday, and I think last Thursday when it began. Here is a sample quote from hashimoto;
Voila. There you have it.

rickyvee- we're getting down to something and I think I know what it is...
Do you agree with Hashimoto that the universally agreed upon number of 200,000 is a myth?

rickyvee - a quote from hasimoto is the story above;
“A sex slave is something completely different from a comfort woman,” he said without elaborating.
do you agree with this?
