didnt they say the same exact thing about 6 weeks ago? The good news is no one, not the Japanese public nor outside world, really listens to or cares what the Japanese government has to say.

and predictably, the people of Saga will remain mum on the whole thing. There is no outcry, so they deserve this corporate lackey as their governor.

@presto - Not long ago I watched a 1 hour documentary on the Tenarife disaster on TV. While the co-pilot may have had some initial confusion with tower instructions, he knew enough to tell the pilot they didn't have approval for take-off. The pilot was arrogant and impatient, enough so to make the co-pilot think twice about crossing him. So while il admit that maybe he didnt share all responsibility, I'd say 90%.

presto - I only have a passing interest in these things, but the Tenarife disaster was the sole responsibility of the KLM pilot for ignoring instructions cause he was an arrogant a**hole and was tired of waiting. His own co-pilot tried (in vain) to stop him.

so now with freaks running around outside seemingly talking to themselves (bluetooth), more freaks will be talking into their phones, too lazy to type an email.

ssway - normally I'd call this paranoia, but the Japanese government has been so dishonest and misleading with the nuclear crisis from day 1 that I will accept any explanation these days. Who knows what to believe anymore?

Another "talento" marrying a hair stylist. Maybe the legions of Japanese male high school students wanting to be hair sylists are on to something. (Back home in Canada a hair stylist marrying a woman isn't usually in the cards)

the only thing that will solve this problem in Japan is for more parents to be charged with negligence. Unfortunately, Japanese society (and courts) see it as a private family matter. Much like spousal abuse.

I swear a lot of Americans must enter the military for no other reason than to get out and then whine to everyone they meet "You've never been there!" "You don't know what its like!" for the rest of their lives.

ITS ME - George W. had war experience all right. He made sure daddy got him into the Air National Guard so that he could keep Texas air safe from the Vietcong. Cheney? 5 deferments kept his hands clean during the Vietnam war. How about good ol' WW2 (or dubya dubya two for all the Patriots) Entered into by FDR himself with not a minute of military schoolin' or fightin'. I guess you would have stayed out of that one too, eh, with FDR having no experience.

globalwatcher - Michael Jackson was a pedophile. How many men in their 40's would you allow your children to share a bed with? Nothing to "misunderstand" about that. The only people taken advantage of were the children he surely assaulted when their parents allowed him to pay them off with hush money.
As for the brothers' charity work, thats great but the pessimist in me says that they're also using it to drum up some interest in a tour of Japan later on.
