Samurai archery, an ancient sport, still thrives in Japan

    ....however....

Very few people actually participate in yabusame

The least you could do is match the title of the story to the content. You can't have it both ways.

“He’d be very mad, he just passed away and she won a lot of money,” said Brian Peters, one of the couple’s three children. “He’d say, ‘Figures!’”

He'd probably be happy - to be able to provide for his wife in death more than he ever could in life.

A 20~30% discount is nothing!! Go to any American store on Dec. 26th and you'll get a 60~75% discount. The Japanese stores say that theyre giving "big discounts", but theyre still making money hand-over-fist.

While I don't agree with the way Blago is conducting himself, the selection of Roland Burris couldn't have been better. With an absence of African-Americans in the Senate, no one in his or her right mind would vote not to seat him. Even Burris said that he is willing to serve the remaining two years of Obama's term and not seek re-election. Had Burris been appointed under better circumstances, I would fully support it. Because of the current circumstances, I'm sure everyone is looking at this in a different way.

Anyway, it’s time to pass the torch on to the next generation.”

A spokesperson for NTV said “Omoikkiri TV” will be terminated

There seems to be no torch left. NTV extinguished the flame.

The Rogoffs never heard from the woman and didn’t receive a reward

If not a reward, a simple THANK YOU would have been nice.

I just can't see how this makes national news. Local news, maybe.

People should not expect miracles as soon as Obama takes office. It took 8 years of GWB to get us into this mess, and it won't change overnight.

Another reason not to put your nose where it doesn't belong. Domestic disputes are best left to the parties involved.

He has no legacy. He has started two wars, run the economy into the most disastrous condition in 70 years, and turned the rest of the world against the US. Fifty years from now, American elementary school children will learn about the best and worst presidents.... and George W. Bush is definitely the latter.

Even the Republicans are amazed at what he has done.... ABC News is reporting that

Limbaugh called the choice of Clinton "a brilliant stroke by Obama."

Obama's advisors may be strong and opinionated, but they have to remember - he's the Commander in Chief.

When I was a child, the amusement park in Santa Claus, Indiana was called Santa Claus Land. It's a wonderful little town with very little to do other than the amusement park and the holiday theme. Little towns like this have to do something to survive.... and these towns have found it!

Cold, dry winters? Come to Kyushu!! It's cold and wet.... the cold goes all the way to the bone. At least with dry winters, it doesn't feel that cold... with 70% humidity, it feels at leat 5 degrees colder than what it is. I only wish they had a direct flight from Fukuoka to Ogasawara!

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia (AP) — Malaysia's AirAsia on Tuesday abolished fuel surcharges on all its flights and said it will give away half a million free tickets next year in an attempt to lure travelers amid the global slowdown.

They should have followed the lead of Air Asia and done away with the surcharges altogether. Free tickets wouldn't be a bad idea either!
