I really dislike the use of the word "manifesto". It makes me think of Karl Marx and the communist manifesto. Why not use a term like "party platform" instead?

Japan has less than half the population of the US, but the lower house of the Diet has more seats than the US House of Representatives. I would hope that a reduction in seats is in the cards. What a waste of money, paying all those representatives' salaries.
