“There’s the kid, chomping away on breaded fried prawns and croquettes, and dropping crumbs all over,” an eyewitness relates. “Did her mother scold her? No—she was eating the stuff too!
Thats GREAT!!! sounds just like the USA!!!! (except for the pranws part, but the fried food part for sure and the crumbs, and the rudeness, and the mom) well. you know what you do with zombies?!?! well just play left 4 dead and i think the answer will become all to clear

I quit being a fan of Nintendo ever since the first PlayStation came out. Its not that they are bad, they just sell to a completely different demo-graph than me. I think they are still trying to appeal to the kid and young teenager. sure they have a few really sick games, but without HD graphics. COME ON?!?!? and the 360s and PS3 achievements and trophies are like crack cocaine. I stopped playing PC games because they don't have online achievements I can work on and show off online. only 1 achievement to go on Halo 3!!!! Recon armor here i come.

That really sucks. I hate to see decent companies do poorly. I love my xbox 360, but HATE Microsoft, but they have no problem making cash. Its seems like anytime you have a company that makes a good product, has a good image, and good customer support they are doing poorly right now.

@ Rodney_King: what in the world are you talking about. It makes absoutly no sense what so ever. Any machine that is used that much will break down. It happenes everywhere in the world. Japan is no exception. Plenty of countries... bascily all of them have some form or 24 mass transit, or a mass transit system that run much later. You can still do maintenance if you have an extra train or two to rotate. Obviously other countries manage. New York city manages JUST FINE!. and you dont have to run EVERY track, every train, every ten minutes 24 hours a day. I go go over a billion different systems that they could try to use to add SOME form of 24 mass transit. and Japanese system overrated?!?!?!?! sure maybe, but its still the best most reliable system in the world. why don't you do yourself a favor move to New Delhi, then you might ACTUALLY have something real to complain about.

From a western standpoint, I would Japanese men are very confused. The anthropoligst in me says that its just a differnt culture, and through out history and cultures men have changed and varied greatly. So I tell myself its normal to see men dress like the whores of new york city, or k1 boxers to have green hair and wear mini skirts, and for some of my high school male students to spend more time on their between class than the girls, and to see guys wear pink hairpins, and guys wear long pointed clown-esk boots with more accessories around their fingers, wrists, neck, and body than all the girls I have dated in my life combined. I tell my self, its just normal for Japan. So who I am to judge. I will let all the women who can't find a man and the rapidly shrinking birthrates to do all the judging. No, but honestly, the guys I described above are a pretty small majority. Smaller than the "out of the closet" homosexuals in the USA. I bet there are more homosexual men in California along than all the metro sexual j-boys in Japan.

That's so great to see a positive story on this website, and people who arn't bashing japan for everything they possibly think of. Too bad only two people have left comments so far. Good for this guy. That is truly amazing. Its cool to see a Japanese person who has been through so much and keeps on pushing.

thats cool and all, but I am surprised they dont try to get blockbuster since microsoft already has netflix. Seems like sony would want to compete just for the sake of it. I have an american 360, but I have had a lot of trouble getting XBLA points beacuse mircosoft detects my japanese IP. I cant even get them through amazon com beucause they have the same restrictions (just buy an american point card through play asia dot com) So I am netflix would have the same restricions. But my ps3 network works just fine in Japan and I have a USA account for that too.
Well. I hope you all know about bittorrent because it basically solves all the problems of getting TV and movies. A lot of the times I can see the newest episodes of anything in HD the day they air in the USA. House, Heroes, Stargate Universe, Fringe. What ever. HD 720p eps in about 1 hour. free. I would watch the commercials if they had them. I kinda miss american commercials.

This really has nothing to do with j-cops or j-pervs or Japanese anything. This is just a sad pervert with no self control. He could have bought some porn ten feet away at any stop where there is a news stand.

WORD!!! I love Japan, and coming from A part of the USA with basiclly no trains and subways, I love the trains and subways here. Even in my little country town with its 30 year old train it is a blast to ride, and a beautiful ride into the capital city. I have to say my biggest disappointment when I travel around japan is exactly what this guy is writing about. When my friend come they all expect to go out on the town till 3 am in Tokyo. I have to explain to them, we have a 11pm bedtime because we have to catch the last train to our hotel. We are hitting the town in essentially the biggest most bad A$$ city in the world, and we have to start on our way to the hotel at 11PM?!?!?!?!? I get that it would be really expensive to run 24 hours, but they already run 18-19 hours!!!! And like the article said, and like I have experienced, the LAST train is ALWAYS packed! so lets say they have just ONE more train after that. its safe to say that train would have a good number of people on it, therefore making it a profitable run for that train. Why cant they have a limited service for trains. every hour instead of 10 min. I would rather wait for 55 minutes for a train, than pay 100 million yen for a taxis so i could actually enjoy a night out on the town and not just an afternoon.

Gordon Ramsey designs the dishes, the menus, he teaches people how to plate them, and what his standers for the dish are. I think you will be EXTREMELY hard pressed to find ANY head chef in a fine dinning restaurant that cooks a single grain of rice or ounce of meat. please stay on topic... I know

good for those that refused. It is well known that there are many Kyoto restaurants that are basically local secrets. I have passed many such restaurants while walking down dark streets, and what I thought were just residential areas. They pride them selves on their small but often clients. They hide in dark allays for a reason. If they wanted every tourist, foreign and Japanese to come to their restaurant, then they would be in a well lit busy street with advertisements.

Could you imagine listing to meow meow meow meow meow meow about 1 trillion times for hours on end. You can find the full list online. I am surprised they didn't have Jay-z. They most of the other top selling rappers. I get why these artists are angry, I would be too. But what everyone needs to remember, this is, at least was war against a group of people who indiscriminately kill who ever they want. We don't go out of way to kill children and blow up temples. That is exactly what some of these people aimed to do. Our soldiers goals were to stop more of that happening. Im not pro bush, and I am not really for this war, at least the one in Iraq. But SOMETHING has to be done about terrorists, if Barney can help, then by all means. Terrorists are literally half the reason I refuse to bring children into this world. Blowing up Sky scrappers and trains and temples and markets that belong to your own country men is no laughing matter. If a few songs from some of my favorite artists can stop that... well.

And most decent sushi bars have whale. So I don't know why you don't think the majority don't eat it. Its available just about everywhere. The majority of people probably don't eat McDonalds, but I bet about 25% eat there A WHOLE LOT, but thats not a majority, therefor I guess no one really eats it. Is that your logic? What about Umi? I guess since only a few million people enjoy it, no one eats it and we should not have it available anywhere!

I'm really confused about something. So maybe you folks can clear it up for me. Why some of you think whaling is bad?!?! They track the population of these mink whales very closely, and they take a few thousands out of the couple million estimated to be THRIVING in the ocean. There is a little fuss here and there about over-fishing, but no one is doing anything, and no one is showing ANY restraint. But Japanese whalers take a VERY specific amount of whales. Whales that have a VERY high population. It cant be because they are mammals, we eat plenty of mammals. Is is that we can train them? well I don't think we train mink whales. So please I beg you. PLEASE spell it out to me: why is whaling MINK WHALES WRONG?!?!?!

Kurosawa's movies are indeed excellent, but he was a pioneer for the entire world.... FORTY YEARS AGO. What happened Japan? You make some of the worst movies on the face of planet. Even Miike Takashi has started to slip. Other than those two. No one is worth mentioning. Yeah some people have brought up Miyazaki. But if you think about the amount of animated movies that are produced every two seconds in Japan, then statistically one out of billion is going to be considered good. Its like Balliwood. They make twice as many movies as Hollywood, but only one or two a year even gain any recognition outside east asia. Some one brought up adult films. I hope that was a joke. Its a pretty wide conscious they are laughably bad. Every Japanese man i know who has any sense figures out enough English to download American adult film. And yes Samurai movies USED to be good, now they are extremely cheep, cheesy, unrealistic unlike older ones. The samurai films are just Yanki trash with swords to appeal to all the kiddies and well... yankis. Here is one example of how bad the expectations are here. Have you ever gone to a DVD rental store. Well my first couple of times through, I went through the foreign section. I saw some AMAZING dvds that I had never heard of. I though they were new films. Did a little research on IMDB. They didnt even have a listing for 9 out of 10 of these films. Dug a little further. These films are so bad, they don't even go straight to DVD. They are in a new category lower than that. Straight to Japan!!!!!
