that's really sad. for everyone involved. poor guy just got lost in that city. not saying he isn't 100% to blame. he is... but in that city some people just don't get the chance to people normal human beings. so many people everyday, but you don't know any of them. so close to each other. yet so incredibly far away from everyone.

AND as for movies coming to Japan late. Yeah it really sucks sometimes.
Ladies and Gentlemen who live in japan. Please learn about Bit Torrent. It sovles most of the time related problems!!! I watched the Wolverine movie, IN JAPAN over 6 months. and don't complain to me about stealing. I spend a third of my pay check going to just one movie in Japan.

HELLO? they are filming part of the next film in Japan because that is where wolverine goes for a while to get away from his demons and sharpen his new mad skills. I knew that when I came out the womb. get with pop culture bub.
The movie isn't going to win any awards, but it was better than x men 2 and the 3rd for sure... The movie didn't even make sence. Magneto ruined the whole movie. why move a concrete bridge, when you could make a cool metal bridge with all the METAL CARS (or car doors)!!!! its would have looked cooler, and have been more along the lines of something magneto would do... and he wouldn't just sacrifice all his mutant soldiers like that.... gosh so unrealistic for a semi evil but logically grounded super mutant.

I think thats pretty cool. yeah its a little expensive, but one of kind, and custom. You can design your own pair of shoes, and they are WAY more expensive. But yeah. I think I would rather buy about 23 quadrillion other things before I got my own action figure that would collect dust and no one but me would 'care' about

people pull out in front on me on a daily basis. It only takes me 6-7 minutes to drive to work. I get anywhere from 1 to 6 people pull out or almost pull out. There are so many blind corners, I have bikes and old ladies and cars that I almost hit everyday. I cant beilve in two years I have never hit anybody. and like you said. I am sure that if I was going the speed limit, and a bike came zooming around the blind corner with out looking or slowing down, it would be anywhere between 50 to 100% my fault. The reason that so many japanese probably run, is the same reason the do everything else. Shame and honor. If they stop, it doesnt matter how humane they look. then they have to live with the shame and dishonor. If the run, chances are they will never get cuaght, and wont bring shame to themsevles and their family. Its one of the biggest faults with japanese honor. its not all bad, but in this case is disgusting.

I have been to tokyo over 5 times. curretnly I live way out in the country in Fukui-ken. I dont see why people think japan, or tokyo for that matter is all that expensive. Other than rent, which is crazy high, everything else is the same as in the country. beer is still 5 bucks, unless you drink in an upscale place, but that can be said about any city. You probably wont have a car. That would save me tons. I spend a fourturne on car payments, and gas, and shaken. apples, chicken, food in genrel is pretty much the exact same price. We just get fresher food out in Fukui. video games are the same price, electricity is the same price, water still comes out of the facuest, basicly for free.... The way I look at it, if and when I move to tokyo or kyoto or osaka, my expenses will be about the exact same becuase I wont have car payments or gas money to worry about. and I wont be spending 200 bucks on a train to get to tokyo anymore. or 100 to get to osaka.

most of the time in situations like this, yes the mother just stand by. She probably got hit too... your right I am adding a lot of congjuture. But, yeah if I had to guess, yes they all stood around. they probably all got hit at some point and they were either too scared or too ashamed to do anything. if a man a grown man. a parent is such a bad ass mother #$%#% that he can beat his own kid, I am sure he hits his wife too. I dont know what you mean my paretns teach me how to steal. ofcourse they dont. they teach me NOT to steal... just like they teach me not to kill or harm another living thing. and if the older brother got hit. he is going to end up %#%$ some way or another. He will probably grow up and hit his kids and\or wife. If you read research on kids that are beat, or kids who watch their mom get beat, they grow up to continue the cycle. The nicest guy can be a wife or child beater.

what does it really matter where they are? I mean.... If Japan ever needed our military help. Our Navy would be their first line of defense or retaliation. If Japan needed troups to defend a certian section they can send in their own froces, but I dont really see pirates or koreans, or martians landing little boats on the the coast of ishakawa trying to invade japan. I see misslis and airplanes and boats with big guns. something that little men with little guns areny going to be able to do a damn thing about. And uh.... the girls who controlled the music, listend to RAP... so what I dont think its the military bases. It might be that thing you are sitting at called a computer, or the other things sitting next to it called a TV or the OTHER thing sitting in your car called a RADIO... people listen to American RAP EVERYWHERE in the world becuase is catchy, and its popular, and some of it is even good. I dont the military bases force everyone in the world to listen to rap. The world is a smallest place my friend. I used to eat sushi in my schools caffiteria in a small town in Alabama, I dont think it was becuase the japanese military influenced us.

I think its a case of some one who normaly can't defend themsevles, being clever enough to find a way to fight back, but to young to realize the consiquenses. so bascily it falls back on the parents in every aspect if you ask me. you can watch 25 hours of TV a day as long as your parents raise you to tell the differnce between right and wrong and real and fake. If you have a dad thats beats you and doesnt teach you baisc morals and that death is real and final, then it seems to me its 100% dads fault.

I just watched Brother staring, written, and directed by mr. beat. I was a little dispointed. but he was a pretty cool charicter nonetheless. I like him a lot, but I think he is a little overrated, but compared to other J-talento, he is only 1 of about 3 that are worth paying any attention to whatsoever.

yes and no! I have often thought about if and when I have a kid, would I want to my kid to go through the japanese or american school system. Japan, err... slave driving, stressfull, bullying esp for my would be half-breed child, and never ending clubs... VS America, drugs would be more than a possiblty, gangs depending on what school they went too, violence, and ramant underage sex. But would live a more fullfilling life, less stressfull and have more freedom and choices. its really hard to say. maybe japan for half and america for half. japan up through JR high, then high school in america. So maybe my child would only smoke a little pot or something, but growing up in japan would have taught him enough not to become an idot drug abuser like a lot kids.

I simply dont understand why this doesnt happen every ten seconds. I cant believe they were even using the sidewalk. I heard that is VERY agaisnt the law!!! Where I live there will be old ladies and studetns all over the road on their bikes. The old dont even look when they cross. Or they come from a blind corner and shoot around right infront of me with out even slowing down or looking to see if I am about to kill them with my 2 ton car. In a given week I have no less than 5 close calls a day, 4 of those 5 or becuase of bikes.

I dont know about you, but before I started to live in Japan. I took drugs. I never really did ONE drug, or A drug.
And the best part about Japanese mentality. They dont see alchol as a drug, even though its the worst drug ever according to wide spread use and death and violence it causes. Thats the only DRUG I do now. also.. what about when I break a bone or get injured. I guess they mean no drugs for that either. cuase I sprained my ankle and they wanted to make sure I had asprin. In the USA I probably would have been sent home with a years supply of Demeral.

very sad indeed. not to make light of her traggic death, but I think this unlocks one of the greatest Japanese mysteries ever. Why so many japanese back into their parking spaces. So they dont have to BACK out unawared of everything but themselves and the TV show they are watching from their dashboard.

This is the same bull they pulled 30-40 years ago. our schools are socialized. our police and fire force is socialized. Our post office system is socialized. We have many many many socialicst system in our country. It does not make us a socialicst country.
