Japanese culture is of Presentism, does not matter if you are working on not and what is your productivity but you have to be there before 8:40 and be there untill your boss leaves. You can take a nap or pretend to work but you have to be physically present. Japan is far away from the concept of telecommuting and work/life balance

Good for Lehman people in Japan, atleast they have a job..hopefully they wont mind working 16 hrs a day and getting atleast 50% salary cut.. good part of the deal is better to get bought by a japanese bank than chinese!

Japanese media to blame..the "masskomi" takes it to the extreme and paints horrible pictures which may be wrong than facts. Also its becoming a defacto standard to commit suicide after wrongdoing..No justification for what the guy has done but think human life is much more valuable.

Very innovative idea. I wonder if any airline in Japan can do the same as the airline market is controlled by either JTB or HIS.Looking fwd to a day when I can buy "real" discounted ticket on a website by myself instead of going to one of these agents.

believe it or not but Namie Amro copies Janett Jackson..i am not talking abt any similarities or dissimarities between their bodies but Namie's numbers and dances can be lifted from Ms, Jackson's song and Namie knows how to sing english words too e.g. you are my sweet paradise, lets harmony, lets romance etc etc.. but i have to give her credit, she is singing and is popular for the last 10+ year esp. when japanese tend to like underage lolita type singers.

Now once again, Pakistan is on its way to self destruction..Zardari widely known as Mr.10 (receives 10% cut of everything) has very little political experience, he will be worst than Benzir who was enjoying her life in Britain while Pakistan was burning down. Very soon people will realise they were better off with Mushraf who atleast brought some peace and prosperity to Pakistan.Even though he was blamed as Dectator/Bush's Toy, Mushraf did a great job bringing down violence , the karachi stock market reached to the highest level. Sometimes its too bad to have a partial dectatorship esp. for a *** up country like Pakistan.

Depends on how Uniqlo positioning themselves and their target segment. Uniqlo can succeed if they position themselves like Zara - lower -middle class/young generation with moderate income.Indian and chinese customers are too smart and cost consious than japanese. Also Uniqlo will face stiff competition from local copycats.I personally like Uniqlo and how they changed the brandloving japanese mindset, delivering quality stuff at low cost
