@Asagao, that may be true, but let's face it, there are some kids who are and will never be tough to face up to bullies. What do you want them to do? Toughen up and fight these bullies? I say rather than have a dead kid, you may have to pull that kid out of the school and move him to another school or do whatever it takes to have that kid remain alive. Of course, I wouldn't have the kid keep running away, but if i pull him out and move him to another school, he would need to learn from this experience and improve himself.
I like what Elbuda Mexicano said above. If no one will protect these kids being bullied, I will go up and drop kick these bullies, no matter that I'm much bigger and older than them. I have no problem beating up bullies even if they are kids and smack them down.

@Kronos, thanks for the link..that 280,000 doesn't include rent or mortgage. It only lists "Housing' as around 19K, what could that be?. Add in say, 150,000 for rent for a family of 4, that will make it more than 40 man, which makes more sense

This article makes me proud to be an American! LOL!
it's quite simple, eat real food, stop eating processed carbs (and carbs in general) and sugar
but as i said in another article, Japan is catching up--so many metabo middle aged salarymen around these days. Give it 20 years at this rate.

@Carcharodon, it would be great if Trader Joes opens ups here in Japan, but knowing the Japanese, it will become too trendy and will lose all appeal to me.

I definitely have noticed a rise in the number of "metabo" here in Tokyo since i first came a few years back. Japanese men are starting to look like Americans from 20 years ago. Give it another 20 years and Japan will be a country of overweight, obese middle age salarymen. No offense intended.

i'm not necessarily against shutting down the nukes but definitely for less energy consumption. i don't want to be paying so much just to heat up my place this winter. that said, i'll probably bear it and try to go without heat as much as possible, maybe just use an electric heater.

China claiming Taiwan as part of its territory is akin to England claiming the US as part of its territory. The Taiwanese have been on the island for, what, 500 years or so? It's a separate country for sure.
