I'd never open a business in China, not with the government breathing down your necks and scrutinizing everything you do. You've got to admire Google for telling the commie govt to shove it.

Saw the former PM Mori at the gym there a few years back. He certainly seemed to be enjoying living there. The whole RHills complex is cursed. Don't forget that poor kid who died in the revolving door soon after the place opened.

remark by actor Junichi Ishida that married men cheating in Japan was almost an accepted part of the culture.

Maybe Japanese men and women shouldn't get married if that's the case. What's the point of marriage if infidelity is accepted?

If the company is too cheap and are conducting these online screening tests, then it serves them right if these students scam them. I'm always pro-employee and anti-company. These companies will get rid of you at any time so I say get them first.

Oh's mom is Japanese. Makes him Japanese enough. He's still the best player to come out from Japanese baseball and probably the only one who's recognized globally. I never heard of Nagashima until I came here, but definitely growing up, we all heard of Oh.

Fat doesn't make you fat. It's carbs--processed food, starches etc. People need to get this down.

@michaelqtodd, check out tmarie's comment. I seriously doubt that he's limiting his customers. Most of his clients are Japanese women anyways. It's like saying if a sushi restaurant in London doesn't write a Japanese menu, it's limiting its customers there? On another topic, why aren't the Western countries (US, UK, Aus) going bilingual then? You make no sense.

@KaptainKichigai Since when has English been "chosen" as the international language? I never heard of such a thing. I may agree that English is generally used around the world in settings where there is no common language, but I can't recall it being chosen.

I don't want to hear about this just like I don't want to hear about it when they break up or why. Why can't people just be happy enough with their own lives but seek to live vicariously through others?

Because the majority of the readers here at JT are just plain haters. That's as simple as that.

If you people can't read Japanese menus, then you need to start learning Japanese if you're here in Japan. You're not going to expect to see Japanese menus in UK, AUS, US etc. Typical gaijins always complaining about lack of English menu blah blah blah.

If he really wanted to die, probably jumping off a tall building would have been more effective than slitting his wrists. A cowardly act indeed. Such a tragic story.

In theory this is a good idea, although very few people exceed the weight restriction of 23 kg.

I always exceed 23 kg whenever I travel back to the US. I see many people in the same situation. You gotta stock up while over there. This bag is definitely interesting as many of the bags out there are too heavy and thus limits the amount of items you can bring back.

Regardless of how Haiti was run in the past, the people there need help and aid. For us more fortunate ones, we definitely should contribute any way possible to help them out. At the end of the day, I doubt I can look at myself in the mirror if i don't even give a care about the

Yes depending on the quality of the articles and information. These newspaper companies cannot provide their services for free and still expect to remain in business. Consumers shouldn't expect to receive anything free unless a gift. I'm certain that if you are a grocery store owner, you wouldn't give away a box of candy for free. It's the same thing here.
