Americans need to agree to the jurisdiction of the international criminal court like the rest of the world. Americans can then finally begin to compensate for all the damage they have caused world-wide.

Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is only asking for America to change which much of the world is asking.. If no one is to be held accountable for the horrors of the past, it can only be the latter. Barack Obama makes a promising start, but we need much more than words. Unfortunately, I don't think Barak Obama will deliver what he promises especially with regard to any significant changes in the Middle East and Muslim world. I wish Obama had some independence of his own and he could work and decide on his own. But this isn't the case. He reminds me of Tony Blair who was very popular when he first became Prime Minister of the UK promising changes but later failed to deliver and in fact became loathed for all his lies and deceit. Let's hope for the sake of Americans that Obama keeps his word and has the courage to instigate real changes which will reverse the damage done by Bush and many years of US destructive foreign policy.

The cease fire is lacking 3 things. a partner, a monitor and a political process.
Israel thinks because it started attacking Gaza on it's own it can end the conflict on it's own. But thats not how it works. A cease-fire requires a partner. Since Israel does not want to talk with Hamas it declares a cease fire which Israel hopes others can encourage Hamas to. But as we all know how can Hamas agree to a cease fire when the agreement does no include them? In return Hamas has declared a seperate cease fire and so has Islamic Jihad. So what we have atleast 3 independent cease fire agreement because Israel refuses to have a partner.

Obama needs to apologize on behalf of USA for the atrocities and crimes the country has carried out if it ever dreams of stabalizing the Middle East. Iranians and especially Amerticans must never ever forget the 290 victims of a commercial passenger airliner shot down by a US warship in the Gulf 12 years ago. This is just one of many horrendous crimes committed by Americans in cold blood.
CIA overthrew the democratically elected Mohammed Mossadegh in a military coup, after Mossadegh tried to nationalize Iranian oil from the Anglo American multi nationals. The CIA then replaced him with a dictator, the Shah of Iran, whose secret police, SAVAK, was trained and funded by CIA was as brutal as the Gestapo. For decades Americans together with it's Iranian counter parts terrorised and murdered Iranians.

The Qassam Brigade have not come with some official statement yet. So as long as they don´t come with a statement. I´m sure they don´t mind getting back at IOF.
Besides the IOF soldiers were killed INSIDE Gaza, I thought Israel had retreated from Gaza obviously not.

Abbas days are numbered. Politically he is the loser in this latest conflict. By the looks of things Khaled Mashaal will be the next Palestinian president. The rift between Hamas and Fatah was mainly elements within Fatah who had been bribed by CIA, Mossad, Israel to over throw Hamas. Those traitors are long gone.
Another positive outcome from this latest conflict is that prominent Palestinian figures are now appealing for national unity.
Breaking Gaza’s will is Israel’s enduring fantasy. Palestinians will keep their dignity until freedom comes.

Americans believe due to their biased media that Hamas is intent on destroying Israel when in fact it has already agreed to a peace agreement on the lines of the 1967 UN resolution. Israel will have no choice but to shed its paranoid fortress mentality and accept a peace agreement based on the 1967 UN resolution.
What many Israeli supporters forget which are for the most part only North Americans. Just by looking at the UN votes you can really see how isolated the US and Israel really are as most of the world from South America, Europe, Asia, Africa are with the side on the indigenous Palestinians is that:
Palestine shouldn't have been the bandage for the last century wound of Jews. Europeans persecuted them, they should deal with it on their own. No nation should pay for the suffering of another. This is called reason, this is called justice.
This is what the state of Israel needs to come to terms with.
Obama seems better than many US presidents but he is still an American. US opinions are completely different than the majority world view but with time US will have to listen to the world and not the other way around.
What good came out of thsi latest conflict is that Hamas has gained support and their defiance and resistance mindset is being hailed in the 4 corners of the world. This with time will force various leaders from various countries to open up diplomatic ties with Hamas. Now the entire world knows the reason the Palestinians fired rockets was that they wanted Israel to end the brutal inhumane seige and they wanted the world to take notice.
