Whatever comments follow, none will help this poor boy. What an absolute shame.

I think they just wanted him to introduce them to a nice looking female English teacher or two.

Oh, the usual negatives. O.K. But it's like they said, "Your xxx if you do, and your xxx if you don't". And the Obama's decided to err on the side of action. I respect their decision, and why not? There's no guarantee, four candidates, not one or two. Good luck Olympic movement, Good luck to the four candidates and good luck to planet EARTH!

I agree with mrsynik. Everybody knows how the car market is suffering like so many other markets. Still, its a slap in the face of an important hand that feeds. As a neighboring country, they should know that put up a good face and trying to build relationships, in a market they still are trying to tap is still important in this and future times in Japan. No?

I had a friend who went through this same scenerio with wife one and wife two (both Japanese). The first one he kidnapped his son out of Japan because the wife had moved with the son into the mother's home (Soka Gakai members) and refused to let him come over, and when he did made him feel, shall we say like a gaijin/outsider. So he hightailed it one day to Hawaii with the son, who was 6 or so at the time. The son turned out miserable (obviously) without having his mother at his side. Then he met another J-girl in Hawaii, she got pregnant, and not long after did the reverse of what he did and hightailed it back to Tokyo, not satisfied with his economic situation and living status as a "lowly" teacher. This was 25 years ago. It seems J-girls like the foreigner for the "cute" kids they'll provide, but after that, say good-bye to the "relationship". Or are there some happy ones out there as well. If so, let's hear from you!

17 years old. What a precious time in life. If only they had a life, which in this incident we can see the girl obviously felt she didn't have a life worth living, and out of total frustration and being pegged into the system from day no. 1, she did what she thought was the only thing she could do. Stop the absolute boredom in her life by destroying those closest to her, and somehow responsible for her miserableness. 17-year olds can be that way. We are lucky we made it through this period in happier conditions. But that being said, Japan will hopefully, someday take a good look in the mirror and decide that just maybe they need to think about educating the populace in ways different than whats going on nowadays; just be pretty, don't make noise, and wait till you time comes, (which in many cases it NEVER does!)

Security camera footage? Near a rice field in Aoba-ku? I don't understand this point. There is no such security camera equipment where I live in Tokyo suburb? Why do they have it there and not here? Any ideas?

A while back, I met two absolutely beautiful girls (and one not so beautiful) with an American boyfriend at a Dept store in Tokyo. We started to chat, and I asked the girls where they were from. They said Iran. I asked them what they thought about USA (noting with all due respect that the boyfriend was from there. They answered. "We want the US to invade our country." I thought they were joking, and I asked why would they say a thing like that? And they answered quite seriously, "then we could be rid of the ancient form of gov't and those running it, and we could have freedom and democracy like in the West." Hmm.... In general, I've only met a few Iranian people in my lifetime, (at immigration, at the Dept. store, one at Univerysity) and I must say they were all quite charming, intelligent people. I wonder where this gov't came from and how it manages to stay in power with such a belligerent form of hostility towards the outside world?

Yeh, as much as I like anyother male loves walking behind the shorter than your underwear type skirts worn by the "why do they always seem to be just busting into puberty?" age group, wolfpacks dead on target, and JT editors seem to agree because they haven't omitted his comment yet. Couple this with all the xxx magazines in convenient stores nationwide and who the xxx is kidding who? Its all geared to these type of gropers. So it'll take a lot of work by the gov't to stem the magazines, the vvideos (also sold nationwide at the convenenient stores) and the what not to stem this "comfort girl" mentality of modern day Japan. This is an issue Pigeon Yama aught to attack as vigorously as Talibin education!

I think Americans will start eating more sunshine, and Japanese will hopefully start smoking less. Then the relations between us can be more on par.

And you disregard one very important detail. The 33 year old has already taken the vow 3 times. That's an average marriage life of 4 years. No cause for concern or interest if you care about the lady?

Northlondon, what if its true? It makes news because it concerns a very nationally recognized skater at the peak of her form. And Japanese care about their stars and are especially nosy/over/unfairly protective concerning their female stars, or haven't you noticed? Thirdly, Japanese girls are hungry for a relationship that is shall we say, different than "the norm". Spotting the two together day and night, with all that work inbetween does make one ponder, perhaps even to the extent of the report that somethings up between them. Kumiko Goto and the race driver, Arimori and the gay marriage, and now this. What is the world coming to?

Yes it is this type of subject (porno in convenient stores for ALL ages 12 and under) to just leaf through nationwide, planting the seeds of permissability to childrens minds) that the great Pigeon-mountain should be focusing his attention on.

Moderator: Please do not refer to Hatoyama as "pigeon-mountain." It lowers the level of discussion.

Very not so funny. People that age still need work. Driving is something they've done for 50 years and the body still remembers the routes without speeding, drinking, smoking etc. Maybe they can provide a safe way for other travellers. In any event, the taxi business is really hurting itself in these tough, astringent days of no-work. But for one to stab another of one's own trade (and nationality upsetting the concept of wa and brotherhood, one race and all the rest), to settle his own loan shark and pay rent is beyond pitiful.

Maybe, yeah, maybe. Or maybe he'll love her till she passes 26 and then pick up on his next cherry in the bowl. Life is a bowl of cherries never had more meaning. I mean COME ON! 3 times with 3 different figure skaters, all probably lovely and young like the 21-year old Ando. Fool me once and shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me three times, who is the shame on. A fourth time and.....seems like there should be a song about this, or maybe there already has, "Senior Blues"

Look, "its been a hard days night" and we all have been working like dogs, so when I get home to you, I find the things that you do, will make me feel all right." How pure and beautiful those songs were penned and performed. Maybe we should get Hatoyama to start the Tali's education reform listening to the Beatles!

I will add my resources tto etch it towards 2.26 million and climbing in the future. The combination of John and Paul's talents, voices, creativity and social movement of the times is well, something that shook young people to activity and thinking beyond the box.
