Instead of asking me questions you could always come with a statement and back up your claims with a source. Rockets have been fired from Gaza before and after Israel dismatnled its illeagal settlement in Gaza. But Israel has never let go off the occupation. Israel claims the blockade of Gaza is a response to the rockets being fired from Gaza but that is not true. The blockade began after Hamas won the election, the main objective of this blockade is to punnish the people in Gaza for voting for a political party Israel does not like.

As it has been mentioned on this thread before Israel moved a settlement from Gaza but still kept Gaza under an occupation. As it also has been said before Israel was building settlements which were not allowed to according to UN security council.Israel gave land back to the Palestinians but it would be more accurate to say that Israelis took land from the Palestinians then gave back a settlement in Gaza yet keeping the people in Gaza under a millitary occupation. You need to come to terms with the reality of this conflict SuperLib.

Right. It is a marketing gimmick. McDonalds have hired people to stand in line to make other people curious to what this hype is all about. You see people lining up in famous restaurants and ramen joints if it has a good reputation the line will then be good advertising for the shop again.

Palestine, despite it's reputation in USA as an aggressive Islamic pseudo-state seeking only the destruction of Israel and the United States, is in reality much more than that. A nation composed of numerous ethnicities and religions including Christianity, With the Israeli occupation in 1948, an upheaval began on a scale rarely seen elsewhere in human history. When the modern state of Israel was established there were about hundreds of thousands of Christian Palestinians. Two years ago the number was down to 80,000. Now it's down to 60,000 in the Occupied Territores. At that rate, in a few years there will be none left. When this happens Zionist groups will move into churches and claim them as Synangogues. Churches which have been used by Christian Palestinians for thousands of years.

They never returned the land as they still control the borders. Israel dismantled the new settlements in Gaza but yet keeping Gaza under occupation.

The terrorism against Israel is due to Israeli terrorism against the Palestinians. If we are to speak of terrorism both parties are at fault if we are to speak of who started terrorism first it was Israel as the creation of Israel was a sheer act of terror. One is committing acts of terror to maintain oppression the other is committing acts of terror to become free.
UN resolution 242 which every single Palestinian leader have agreed to and every country in the UN Security Counsil have agreed to demands Israel to retreat to 1967 borders. Israel has done the exact opposite by making new settlements. EVery new settlement being built in West Bank is therefore illeagal.

Every Palestinian leader together with every country in the UN Security counsil demands Israel to retreat to the 1967 borders. Israel was created by destroying 500 towns and villages and terrorising the majority of people out of their homes into refugee camps. This historic fact Israel and the western countries need to come to terms with if they ever dream of peace and stability in Israel/Palestine.

You miss a crucial detail into your equation. Gaza is under a siege. Palestinians are not free. If Palestine was an independent state and if Gaza was independent then thre would be some truth to what you say.

Keep up the fight, militant Palestinians. It's been working out so well for you so far. Another couple more generations of young children being fed with rocket parts instead of medicine is bound to pay off at some point.
The problem is not with Hamas, the problem is with Israel's policies. Hamas is merely reacting to Israel's institutionalized racism.

Hamas is not asking no more or no less than to be treated as equal human beings with equal human rights as others. Israel does not want to give it to them, they would rather keep oppressing them. Hamas did not fire a single rocket during the seige and it was not first after people started starving to death and the conditions became so miserable that they did. They are demanding Israel to open up the seige which is against any humanitarian law.

As occupying force Israel is bound by law and agreements such as the 4th Geneva Convention. According to the Conventions.* Starvation of civilians as a method of warfare is prohibited.* So by starving the entire population Israel is committing a war crime.
Israel has not accepted to return to the 1967 borders because Israel keeps building new illeagal settlemets in West Bank and have built the apartheid wall which is illeagal according to the International Court of Justice and cut Palestinian towns, villages, houses. Land grab. Every country in the world including USA and all other UN security counsil members have voted for Israel to return to the 1967 borders.
The "Right of Return" states that all refugees that have been displaced may return to their homes. This does not exist for Palestinians. Palestinians are often denied the right to return to their homeland, Jews from around the world leave their home country to live on stolen land. By definition, these Jews are not refugees, as many are of European descent whose ancestors converted many years prior. Meanwhile, the Palestinians who have lived on and worked their land for eons are being forced out and into refugee camps.

Every Palestinian leader has agreed to make a sate according to 1967 borders living side by side with Israel. israel on the other hand keeps expanding sttaling more land against international law. Every new settlement in West Bank is illeagal. The siege in Gaza is illeagal. There have een no food going ito Gaza for 2 weeks. People are straving to death. That is why millitants are firing rockets.

PLO wanted peace but the peace talks did not go too well. Arafat agreed to make a state of the remaining bits of Palestine but Israel chose continued millitary occupation. Hamas has not acknolwedged Israel because israel has not akcnowledged Palestine. Your Gold Meir quote is a good example. Every single Palestinian leader has said that they are willing to make a state of the rest bits of Palestine. Israel has occupied Palestine since 1967 which is what countries and people discuss today. The ongoing occupation of the Occupied Territories. Israel has never annexed the Occupied Territores or given it freedom. Now it has Gaza under a hermetic siege trying to starve the entire population in voting a different political party. So what Israel should do is lift the siege. Then either give freedom to the Palestinians or annex Palestine.

It would be political suicide in US to openly show solidarity towards the oppressed people of Palestine in US. But Obama who is partly African should know better when it comes to racial discrimination and oppression. With time even US can no longer keep the moral support of Israel as more people are starting to understand this conflict.
Israel has adopted what South Africa dropped. Many people are somparing Israel to former South Africa. Famous people such as Dugaard, Mandela and Jimmy Carter who wrote a book called Peace not apartheid. The United Nations for nearly 40 years has condemned Israel's military occupation, together with colonialism and apartheid.
Dugaard the South African United Nations Human Rights Council and lawyer has written.
*Many aspects of Israel's occupation surpass those of the apartheid regime. Israel's large-scale destruction of Palestinian homes, leveling of agricultural lands, military incursions and targeted assassinations of Palestinians far exceed any similar practices in apartheid South Africa. No wall was ever built to separate blacks and whites.
The United States should not be surprised if the rest of the world begins to lose faith in its commitment to human rights. Some Americans – rightly – complain that other countries are unconcerned about Sudan's violence-torn Darfur region and similar situations in the world. But while the United States itself maintains a double standard with respect to Palestine it cannot expect cooperation from others in the struggle for human rights.*
