The MSM made him. They'll disown him like they did Cytnhia Shee'an.

Okay, okay, there are the pit bulls named Bill and Hillary to consider.

God bless these two Marines who made the supreme sacrifice in order to save scores or even hundreds from a similar fate.

In Basra, Iraqi government forces have taken control of the "last bastions of the cleric Moktada al-Sadr’s militia." In Baghdad, too, government troops killed militants presumably loyal to Sadr in Sadr City.

In response to this string of setbacks, Sadr, the courageous cleric who is believed to be holed up somewhere in Iran, issued a "final warning" to the Iraqi government: give up, or else! Astonishingly, the "mainstream" press, which has mis-reported the current clashes between government and Sadrist troops from the beginning, reported Sadr's threat straight.

Sadr's "final warning" struck me more as parody. It reminds me of something, but I can't quite think what. Oh yes, this is it:

Shouldn't this headline be "Yankee Go Home!"? This is dual-pronged article, the headliner being glaringly short.

    No matter.

After reviewing a report compiled by AJWRC and The World Organization Against Torture called “Violations of Women’s Rights in Japan,” the panel recommended that there should be “better protection and appropriate care for such [Japanese] victims.” They also showed concern that “efforts by officials were too focused on the crime and criminal, while ignoring the victim’s needs in aftermath of the often traumatizing ordeals they have been through.”

Shortly, Japan statistical rate of rapes should be climbing the global ladder. http://www.nationmaster.com/graph/crirapvic-crime-rape-victims http://www.nationmaster.com/graph/crirappercap-crime-rapes-per-capita

Anti-American Shiite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr issued a “final warning” to the government Saturday to halt the U.S.-Iraqi crackdown against his followers or he would declare “open war until liberation.”

Liberation? Thise causes one to ponder what Mookie's relationship was with Saddam Hussein.

    Maybe he means "until liberalism."

while Jimmy Carter is busy doing something proactive

Why aren't the "Palestinians" doing something proactive such as destroying Hamas and Fatah, setting aside their pride and emulating Israel's successes and creating a bonafide (secular) government that is recognized by free countries around the world?

Nearly 1 in 5 U.S. troops has mental problems after war service

More than 4 in five U.S. tropps do not have mental problems after war service.

This is a George Soros-funded "study" to head the U.S. into socialist health coverage which has proven not to work in Canada, Great Britain and other advanced, modern countries.

Why won't the marxists give it up?

The majority of states in the US that do not have the death penalty have a significantly lower homicide rate than states that do have the death penalty.

The great thinker Ernest van den Haag brilliantly made the case for execution as deterrence: Imagine if a state announced that murders committed Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays would be punishable by execution and murders committed the other days of the week would be punishable by imprisonment. Would murder rates remain the same as they are now on all the days of the week? I doubt it.

comes from the FBI Crime Report

Finally, in a given year, nearly 17,000 agencies contribute data to the FBI; however, because of computer problems, changes in record management systems, personnel shortages, or a number of other reasons, some agencies cannot provide data for publication. The FBI appreciates the conscientious efforts made by law enforcement personnel throughout the nation to report accurate and reliable crime data. Their efforts make it possible for the FBI to provide assessments of the nature and type of crime in the United States.

If you find out you've executed someone who hasn't committed any crime, you can't un-execute them.

Name for us the last time this happened in the U.S. Tell us what year it was.

It is the absence of the death penalty that leads to more innocent people being killed. When there is no death penalty, convicted murderers kill other prisoners and guards; and, when these murderers escape, they kill innocent civilians.

It is a monumental con job perpetrated on the poor who make up the bulk of America's army.

Nice try but no soap, doc.

Despite their youth, the marines seemed to tower over their peers outside the military in maturity and guts.

    [...]

Like many of the young men in Bravo Company, Corporal Ritchie said he had joined the Marines because he yearned for an adventure greater than his small town could offer.

"The guys who stayed, they're all living with their parents, making $7 an hour," Corporal Ritchie said. "I'm not going to be one of those people who gets old and says, 'I wish I had done this. I wish I had done that.' Every once in a while, you've got to do something hard, do something you're not comfortable with. A person needs a gut check."

    Tower. Yes.

This monograph summarizes key findings and recommendations from a larger RAND document entitled Invisible Wounds of War: Psychological and Cognitive Injuries, Their Consequences, and Services to Assist Recovery (Tanielian and Jaycox [Eds.], Santa Monica, Calif.: MG-720-CCF, 2008), a comprehensive study RAND conducted of the post-deployment health-related needs associated with the three conditions among OEF/OIF veterans; the health care system in place to meet those needs; gaps in the care system; and the costs of filling those gaps and providing quality health care to all those in need.

    Yours for 20 bucks. http://rand.org/pubs/monographs/MG720.1/

Odd that the re-enlistment rates are high as they are, no?

Question 2: Do you belive it is okay to murder innocent people, which is what you're annoyed at these murderers doing?

The Left has difficulty dealing with evil and therefore refuses to differentiate between murder and killing.

If murder is a solution for problems

We must kill murderers so they cannot murder again (and yet again in prison).

We already know that it is not a deterrent to crime

The primary purpose of capital punishment is not deterrence. It is to prevent the greatest conceivable injustice -- allowing a person who deliberately takes an innocent person's life to keep his own.
