i dont get people in here praising mccain. bush with a similar strategy for 8 long years of sending more and more of his own men and women to die couldnt stabilize iraq. why would any american want to continue? oh i know why, because we're not the ones going over there to die. 4000 americans, 4000 americans have died and whats the solution? send more to die because the surge will fix everything. i'm tired of the whole freedom isnt free crap, if its not free then let the locals die for their freedom. enough americans have died to make the USA what it is today. why should so many more have to suffer to make another country stand on its own two feet.
a war we cant afford to lose? is this even a war? who the hell are we fighting against?

i would have asked a few questions if i was able to speak to these protesters.
if the US military left, would u volunteer your or your kids services in your country's self defense force?
why are you protesting? if answer is "carrier have fire, kowaii!!" then the next question would be "how much do you know about about japan's nuclear program?"

why even bother repeating whats in the original article, the obvious some people either dont know how to dread or look for any reason justify their opinion on the us military here in japan. as if removing the US military would let all these 60 year old bombs magically disappear. i really do hope the US military will one say leave japan for good so theyll have to spend trillions of yen on the build up of their own military. lets see japan try to talk to nKorea then..
anyway, still a sad story. glad no one was hurt.

im assuming the smiley face at the end meant you were joking but if not then you seem to be missing the point. the US and europe arent worried about iran having plants, theyre worried about the future threats and the technology getting in the wrong hands. Also who knows what would happen if some enemies of the US england or israel dropped enough money on the table to acquire a bomb from iran in the near, you think they would refuse?
