How a about some serious lobbying to end shakken? One of the top sources of waste. Such controls deliberately encourage the purchase of new automobiles as frequently as possible using massive amounts of resources and energy to sustain.

Next, how about some strong campaigning to educate consumers that each individual…

    ilcub76,

For all the technology Japan has, the farming techniques are ancient.

Nonsense! If they were using ancient techniques, they would be using natural methods without any chemicals! For hundreds of years Japan was self sufficient in food without importing farm inputs. Think about it. It's modern farming, encouraged by…

Nessie is correct. Where do people get the ridiculous notion that because biofuel is blended, the costs for the airline would go down. Fossil fuels are like modern civilization finding a suitcase of money - get it? They were just waiting to be found. There's a lot more that goes…

JeffLee, immigration can be a controlled process, as it is in Canada. The government decides who gets in. They either have money or desired skills. think about that for a minute.

I agree depopulation is good. But a carefully controlled decline should be the goal and the only way top…

JeffLee, Japan should be encouraging trained immigrants and this has nothing to do with increasing the population. It is about stabilizing the demographics. BTW, Canada benefits very nicely from wealthy and/or educated immigrants.

Not that I agree with all of the report, but please do yourself a favor and go…
