The thing to do is to investigate the LDP for corruption and indict as many LDP crooks as possible. The LDP should never be allowed to come back. Never.

Right. Micro four-thirds. Olympus will have what I want before long I am sure.

Okay nisegaijin, what model do you have? I thought we were talking about Panasonic's micro four-thirds cameras. All of those babies have Japanese Only menus in Japan. I know. I have tried vainly to get a G-1 with an English menu. Nothing doing. Japanese Only in Japan. Abroad I can have a lot of languages but I cannot getting an international warranty.
Panasonic looks like it is following a script written by Monty Python.
Thanks, I'll get an Olympus four-thirds camera when they make one with a proper viewfinder.

No one is spreading falsies. Go to the local camera store, pick up a Panasonic four-thirds camera and try and find an English menu. I've talked to Panasonic reps and have had camera shops contact Panasonic with the same result. Japanese Only. No exceptions. As I said, there is no point in buying this camera abroad because there is no international guarantee. So I have decided to boycott Panasonic completely because of this. No more Panasonic products in our home.

Thanks for your imput nisegaijin. Curious if your Sony has an international guarantee. Panasonic offers no such thing. If you buy abroad and your panasonic breaks down you have to send it back to the dealer you bought it from. Now Olympus gives you an international guarantee and a choice of languages. It's E-P1 is as good or better than the Lumix GF1 and similarly priced. Who is smarter in the long run?
One more thing. The Lumix GF1 is NOT a single lens reflect camera (SLR). It does not have a reflect pentaprism. It has only electronic viewing.

Look at it this way, a prime minister whose wife believes she traveled to Venus beats having the LDP in power.

This is Bush's stupid war passed on to Obama who ought to have the sense to get out while the getting is good. Most Americans oppose this war. Finally.

Check out the prices of comparable cameras. It doesn't cost anything to have a choice of languages in a menu. The choice wouldn't boost the price of a camera by 25% Where do you get that figure, ebisen?

If ever Mrs Hatoyama meets Mrs Obama I wonder what they'll talk about?
Mrs. O.: How did Obama City get its name, Miyuki?
Mrs. H.: He lived there in a previous lifetime. By the way, you have a very nice aura.

Panasonic sells the only Japanese Only cameras in Japan. Everyone else offers a choice of languages. If you buy a Panasonic abroad you don't get an international warranty. It is no problem to put a choice of languages into a menu. This is a good company to avoid for political as well as practical reasons by non-Japanese and Japanese who hate xenophobic nationalism.

The phony election that has retained the current president has wrecked the credibility of Iran's theocratic state in ways that all the shrill propaganda from the Bush gang and Israel's Zionist fanatics could not. The arrest of the British embassy staff is in reality a desperate move to prove that what was obviously homegrown indignation over the phony election was really part of a foreign conspiracy. The terrible truth that the current crisis has proven is that once religious fanatics gain control of government you can expect only repression and corruption--all justified because the oppressors claim to be doing God's will.
I have few worries about the British Embassy staff. After a show trial they will be given suspended sentences and kicked out of Iran. I do, however, worry about the Iranian people, who will suffer years of murderous repression from their theocratic tyrants because they dared protest the phony election.
It is up to the Iranian people alone, not anyone else, to dismantle the theocratic state and build a secular democratic government on its ruins. Iran's greatest national scientist, philosopher, mathematician and poet, Omar Khayyam, a secularist, had just the right words for the sort of religious fanatics running Iran today: "And do you think that unto such as you,/A maggot-minded, starved, fanatic crew,/God gave the secret, and denied it me?—/Well, well, what matters it! believe that too." May Khayyam be the inspiration of those brave Iranians who have had enough of the theocratic monsters running their country.

The Republicans are really desperate. Unfortunately, Obama is not a Socialist. It would be nice if he were. Given the temper of the times, people might like Obama more if they thought he was a Socialist.
The US is the only major industrial country without universal health care of some sort. Lucky are the Americans who live near the Canadian border.

Best bike parts are now Shimano. Campy has come back but not as great.
Hey, what this guy should have done is hire those two teenage girls whom the cops let go for snatching a woman's purse on their motorbike. If you are cute you can get away with anything.

I was referring to homegrown Islamic violence and, specifically, to attacks on military recruiters. Islamic violence outside the US is well-known, the slaughter of thousands of leftists by Jihadists in Indonesia being one example out of many. Military recruiters have been subject to protests but I do not recall a case in recent memory when they have been murdered in cold blood. If anyone has a better memory than mine please come forward.

So far we have had one incident where recruiters were physically assaulted, and killed. The US has a sorry history of racist killings and assaults, including those by cops. The same goes with a history of harassment, assault and murder perpetrated against the abortion clinics and personnel. We shall see whether it will remain an isolated case or whether there will be other "jihadists" in the near future. The violent right-wing is in forces under America's nose. They have a long and rich history of violence, the worst single act being Oklahoma City and worst mass acts being lynchings.

The best: JAL, ANA, Air France.
The Worst. United Airlines, United Airlines and United Airlines.
I have to fly these people unfortunately when I must be in North America. Whether in the air or on the ground UA staff are not only inefficient and rude but go out of their way to be vicious. As a mixed race couple are IT the moment we step up to the counter. UA used to respond to my complaints; they have a policy of non-response both verbally and in written form. I shutter to think how these people would be in an emergency, given their contempt for passengers. The best might be that the big fat fight attendants, who can barely get through the isles, might make good floatation cushions.

I happen to take seriously what creatures like James von Brunn say. He is the closet I've seen to a pure Nazi pagan. There were two Nazi factions, the Christians and the pagans. The latter were nostalgic about the Teutonic pre-Christian world. Hitler was a Christian, born Catholic, never apostated and was never excommunicated. Anyway, von Brunn was living in some psycho dream world which was fed by the extreme right. If you go through his writings, you'll find stuff about the "Illuminati", which was peddled by the John Birch Society in its later years. The rubbish about the Jews controlling the world's finances has been around for years. Von Brunn was essentially a magnet for every extreme right and neo-Nazi lie that every existed. In the crucible of his sick mind it created a purity of spirit that few if any current rightist organization would dare follow.
The man was sick. Not mentally sick but politically sick. Being that sick, he did not have the power to go mainstream and start useless and immoral wars, like the Bush-neocon gang.
My heart-felt condolences to the family of the unfortunate security guard this horrid man murdered.

This Sukan Gendai article is among other things outdated. There is a recession on, companies are canceling promised jobs to new graduates and lots of people are being tossed out of work. Young people are turning to the Communist Party. I must ask when was this piece of sensationalistic weekly journal crap researched? I recall reading something like this a year or more ago.
I do not believe that there is this sort of easy-goingness among the current new workers who are luck enough to have jobs.
The article ends with a blanket condemnation of so-called relaxed education. Of course, there is nothing in the article that scientifically links it to this supposed laziness amongst new workers.
