in japan, people bow to each other. plain & simple. although he bowed, he also threw in a handshake. very international. a greeting from both countries. i'm in your country so i'll bow, but i'll also throw in my countries greeting.

the conviction rate in japan is 99% as "everyone" pleads guilty whether guilty or not. so, we just have to wait & see what the final sentence will be. this is one of the times i'm glad there are no video cameras in the interrogation rooms .
