Novenachama has hit the nail on the head. that is exactly right. Also, x-mas trees are grown for that purpose. just like any other plant or tree you use in your garden. So, real tree is the way to go for sure .

About itunes : Previously purchased items might not be available if they're no longer on the iTunes Store. If you changed your Apple ID from one country to another, you can’t download items you purchased in a previous country. "so there are times when u may lose your music" .

As some have pointed out here, it is definitely the big malls sucking away the business from the little guys . go to mostly any mall on a weekend & it will be packed . & visit any shotengai on the weekend & it will be more or less empty. unless it's connected to a major train station & people have to pass thru it .

i think it might have something to do with shintoism as in shinto everything has a god. you see workers in supermarkets they turn around , face the store & bow b4 entering the back room. in all sports they bow. soccer they bow to the field. baseball . track & field & so on .

for the sake of japan , the japanese should keep some trade barriers pertaining to farm imports in place. there are a few reasons for this . possibility of war reducing imports . GM foods entering . quality of food will decrease. & now with climate change the possibilities of food shortages in other countries & may not be enough food to import to feed japan. farming in japan is already decreasing, if the doors open, it will drop dramatically & that could be very bad for the country . other countries could "hold you hostage" if you do no do as they say in other areas as well. so, some barriers are warranted . don't want to totally rely on the outside world to feed you people. everything else is fair game .

In 1972, 1995, and in 2001, various Japanese prime ministers have issued what they considered to be a valid apology. Each time, China rejected the statement as a valid apology for one or more of three reasons: 1) the lack of the explicit mention of the word “apology,” 2) the lack of the explicit mention of China as the victim of Japanese aggression, and 3) the apology was only stated in a speech, but not written down in an official document. In 1995, on the 50th anniversary of the end of World War II, the Government of Japan expressed its resolution through the statement by the Prime Minister, which states that during a certain period in the past, Japan’s conduct caused tremendous damage and suffering to the people of many countries, including China, and the Prime Minister expressed his feeling of deep remorse and stated his heartfelt apology, while giving his word to make efforts for peace.

Beijing International Airport, Shanghai Pudong Airport, and the Beijing subway system were all constructed with the help of Japanese ODA. Yet because the Chinese government refuses to publicize this fact, most Chinese citizens are under the impression that Japan has provided little, if any, financial aid to China.
