as it is aimed at the japanese themselves & not the foreigners, they should use the language as they please. a majority of them have no clue what the sayings mean anyway. to them it just looks cool. same in english speaking countries. they use kanji on shirts & things, but have no idea what the character actually means. or, they could be doing it just to piss off the foreigners here :-)

the problem is that people basically don't care. they say they do, but then do nothing about it. the only time it seems that the majority of people care is when it is directly affecting them. oh, my house is under water. i should cut back on my co2 emissions now.

you should be able to wear what you like wherever you like, but the reason i support the ban because when women visit muslim countries they have to cover their heads & so on. the way to go would be a worldwide agreement 1 way or the other.
Posted in: In some countries, there is a ban on adults and children wearing religious clothing and symbols such as burqas, veils, head scarves, skullcaps, turbans and crucifixes in public places like schools, recreational facilities and so on. What's your stance?

i'm not sure if it's the most effective, but it sure would help. there has to be something attached to the ban. like huge fines, jail time or something of that sort. also a ban on serving it in restaurants followed with fines as well.

although it isn't the teacher's right to hit the kids, these kids do need a whack in the back of the head from time to time. half the class didn't follow rules. i'm sure i'd lose my cool as well, but maybe just cancel the excursion.

i believe gogogo meant by the bs comment is that a japanese in the same situation would not get a life sentence. which i also believe to be true. yes. it should be a life sentence, but it should be the same for all, not just the gaijin.

if you are talking about the japanese govt. i would say no. the salaries here are nothing like the packages they get in the u.s.a. america needs a cap for sure.

not planning on seeing any of them actually. i wouldn't consider any of them worthy of being in a blockbuster category as they are all sequels. a couple of them are even on their 4 or 5th time around. c what happens
