yes. gift giving in japan is taihen to say the least. when you receive a wedding gift you are expected to give a gift back at 50% of the value of which you received. same goes when someone passes away & you receive money. basically , you have to return a gift whenever receiving one. & don't forget to mention what a small gift it is ( even if it's a new car), but please accept it .

round of golf is 3-5 hours. in a 168 hour week, that doesn't seem too extreme at all. have to clear the mind sometimes or you'll go nuts. also, no matter where he is 24/7 he is kept up to date on whatever is going on & there's nothing physically he can do to stop the oil. so, hit some balls. better than pumping the balls into the well trying to stop it up.

i'm for letting japan whale if they like. controlled of course. but, comparing putting sanctions on japan compared to norway or iceland is useless . iceland, with a population of just over 300,000 & norway with under 5 mill, just don't have much to worry about in the way of trade sanctions. & the world knows this which i imagine is why they are basically ignored pertaining to whale hunting .japan, on the other hand, has 130 mill. people. exports & imports numerous products. sooo, it'll probably be a while b4 you hear anyone complaining about norway & iceland. just further proof it's mainly about politics & notoriety . which country can we hurt most with sanctions & also get air time.? ok. let's go get em!

there is no ocean view as fukuoka is on the west side of kyushu. it's a "bay" view. downtown shopping & nightlife is only a 10 - 15 minute bus ride from the hotel. or 10 minute walk to subway, then a 5 minute train. it's in a good area & does have nice views. also, next to hard rock cafe, bowling, movie theater & shopping mall. hotel is in the shape of a ship, so rooms in the "bow" have best views of bay.

australia, get over it already. humans kill animals for food. obviously, everything that's taken out of the ocean & any animal in general that is killed in the wild has to be controlled. must be pretty bored down under . oh right. it's an election year .

have 1, but just for family emergency's and the occasional contact with friend. would be fine w/out it. my wife, japanese, on the other hand, couldn't go an hour w/out. i think the big difference is that the japanese use it for email & internet as well, whereas most foreigners here use a computer for net & mail. so, an interesting question would be "could you go a day w/out using your computer?"
