it's so easy to see why she is desperate to leave japan. Japanese culture looks down on unwed mothers or single mothers - especially one with a child who is mixed race. She is embarrased to be living in japan with this baggage.

Yes I do. Japan need to align herself with Asia esp China, not with the USA. Japan need to understand that the balance of wealth and power has shifted from north america to asia in the 21st century.

To continue the refuelling means maintaining the status quo ie; US being the master and Japan being the servant. Japan should wake up to the 21st century. The balance of wealth of power has moved from north america to east asia.
