If you’ve never felt like you’re chained to your cell phone, you will now.

Ah, I really needed a good laugh...

    That's a lotta pads.

I think it's following on the success of the iTouch and the iPhone though. Without those before it I doubt it would have been as successful. That said, I'll wait until they are a bit more powerful and can multi-task. It's the most frustrating part of the iTouch I have now, that I can check a message without quitting the program I'm in.

to Sarge: I realize you're being facetious, but a tape cassette? Man, those things will drain a battery quick. Too many moving parts. Better off with an MP3 player if you want to conserve battery power.

What they need is to make a waterproof monitor that can be viewed while taking a bath. My girlfriend would love it.

Agh, I'm in panic mode. JT reported on this fabulous new discovery yet failed to mention WHERE one can purchase this amazingly versatile instrument. Oh for the love of all that's good and holy, where can I get one???

I find the reverse cameras really handy when you're parking. It's easy to see how far away you are to parking, etc.

Of course it can't and shouldn't replace common sense and just looking behind, but I would highly recommend them as they are a good addition.

Just a quick message to note to those that are under the impression that this man was able to pull down the woman's stockings and fondle her legs without waking her up. The story clearly states that she woke up and complained.

Since there is no time reference given, we can probably assume the woman probably woke up right away and once she realized what was happening, made a complaint.

While everyone is busy condemning the mother, I would like to take a moment to point that it is very easy for a man to prevent pregnancies, but some guy out there failed and it did not seem like he wanted a baby. So let's consider his very large part in all this

Assuming that she told the father (or even know who he is for that matter).

Yeah, I guess it should be "Solar powered parking lots", but it sounds awesome! I'm sure it's not cheap, but if it ever becomes more popular I'm sure they would find a way to cut down on costs.

Yes I can certainly see how useful this study is in curbing the growing obesity within America and the rest of the world. I say they should spend more money on time on this rather than wasting time actually doing something about the petty problems of the world.

If it was because he owed money, it shows you how stupid criminals are. Now how are they supposed to get thier money from him?

Don't you watch movies? If they figure he isn't good for the money, they (criminals who lend the money) bump him off as an example to the other people they loaned money to.

This is all assuming that he was there because he was in money trouble. It could have been any one of a dozen possibilities.

It looks like whoever did that to him was at least trying to make it look like a mugging (stripped him of his ID) but the interesting part is that his shoe was missing. That being the case it seems that he was trussed up somewhere else and dumped in the park.

I can just imagine a mysterious van pulling up to the park, the side door opening and this poor man was unceremoniously dumped out onto the ground.

Wow, child abuse really upsets me, but what is equally disturbing is the general thinking that more violence is the answer.

I love this idea! I wanna check it out even though I already have a great GPS device. (Garmin edge 7000). Actually, at 37,000 it's pretty reasonable. The Garmin is fantastic though. 15 Hours (yes, I've tested it several times on the road) of battery, and you can program it for all the stuff that is listed for this one.

The software is installed of course, but the map data almost always comes separate and there are very few English Maps for Japan. Quite expensive, really.

I agree with a lot of posters today (a bit unusual!), but especially 2koind2.

I've never had problems making good friends back home, but here it's a completely different ball of wax.

For me, it's even more difficult because I don't drink and have no interest in the club/bar/izukaya scene. I also abhor smoking, so that really puts a crimp on many relationships. I do play sports and I do talk with several guys, but I would not consider any of them friends.

I think there was a recent movie about this sort of thing, I think it was "I love you man".

    Gotta keep looking I guess.

The news is a bit sketchy (surprise). I didn't notice where it said that this man was coming from a bar and was drunk. Where was that written?

Also, he was FOUND at 4am in the morning, but there was no indication on how long he had been lying there. For all we know, he could have been lying there for several hours.
