No one should accept this invitation. It's paid by the romans and they are not responsible for this situation. At most, they are responsible for electing politicians who prefer "bribing" whenever necessary than drilling down to the source of the problem.

I'm just waiting for all those civil liberty nutjobs to come out of the woodwork though and claim that it's "an invasion of privacy and personal freedom". I think being groped by a maniac sleazebag is more of an invasion of privacy!

Right... Then you should be kept under surveillance,…

Speaking as an European, I think most Americans have been manipulated during the Cold War to think for themselves when the word "socialism" comes up. Socialism is, in fact, a more fair economic system and, although it can't be applied to every government section (at least, not without rigorous controls…

I have my -reasonable- doubts about this matter. I feel this is just an excuse to become a militaristic nation again. More than a oxymoron, the "Self-Defense" Forces are the remnant of a imperialist regime that should have never been created in the first place.

This sounds fishy to me... Assaulting over 100 girls before being arrested?

It's like the police had too many cases to deal with, and they charge all of them to a persuadable person.

So, bobbafett, you really think that the parents are right asking for death petalty? I just think they want revenge (and it's something natural in these cases), but it's the judicial system the one that should hand down the veredict, not the parents.

Either way, what its wrong with this…

His death won't solve anything. Even if he is culprit, his death will only carry despair to the ones that seek revenge (something has to fill the void) and, to the rest, fear to a judicial system that doesn't acknoledge that anyone can make mistakes.

    Penalties oriented toward -real- reinsertion…

Why there are still -false- security measures like those? Who would want to attack Japan anyway?

nutsagain, what you have described is called Cafeteria Christianity. If the Bible is the "word of god" (as the Bible itself says) you have to accept everything, even the lapidation for working on saturdays.
