this is so funny, the final nail in the republican's coffin...although the actual cost of her outfits shouldn't be a big issues in normal circumstances but because of her often delivered "hockey mum" (hey I'm a normal working class mum like all you voters) tag means that this story just throws her image into orbit....McCain must be seriously regretting her choice...he would most likely have been much closer to Obama had they not picked a person who doesn't even know the role of a vice president.

tokyo (and its ugliness) does not represent all of japan and its people...what a crap article. Its like a saying that london is a dirty hole and therefore so are its people.

you have to wonder about these "stewards" and their lack of consistency or fairness this year...they apply the rules when they want to....its like they are part of a betting ring or something! Massa should be demoted to his third and ferrari docked all points from the Chinese race in terms of the constructor's league.

I probably will not bother watching F1 again for awhile...this season has been a joke...any racing excitement has always been trampled upon by the stewards.

well Hamilton proved us(including me) all wrong with a well drive win...and it was the other ferraris that showed little fairness by letting the slower massa through to 2nd....its this kind of behaviour that the FIA and the useless stewards should punish as it makes a mockery of who is the fastest driver.

onTherecord> yes they are directing their hatred at Hamilton but have no logical rationale for it...or none that is specific to him.

I wrote a post previosuly, stating my frustration at Hamilton's boom or bust driving style, which I fear will lose him the title again...so its not like I am a huge fan, but these people are just spouting hatred of him as a person and has little to do with his driving...this article does not talk about Hamilton's driving as dangerous to others..they say (rightly imo) that it might casue him to lose the title).

as for "Safety first"....do you truly believe that any of the F1 drivers actually do this? who are you kidding? At this level of driving, the line between glory and failure is too close to be able to think first about safety. No one can win anything with that attitude.

never knew this was a forum for BNP members....

us and them, right and wrong, black and white......such arrogance is worse than what hamilton is doing imo.

why has none of you people complained about other british drivers who are avoiding tax like hamilton? why do you only complain at the brit who is doing well? Do you hate Button or David Coulthard also?

as for dangerous driving...do you think the FIA would let him continue driving if it really was going to cause a death on the track? Don't believe the mind games being played by Hamiton's rivals...don't be so naive.

I suppose neither of you read my "NEARLY EVERY F1 DRIVER LIVES IN MONACO!" statement? keep closing your mind to the facts and spout yr prejudiced nonsense (so you two must also dislike the other drivers for tax evasion?)....I suppose you two are probably not obama fans either I guess...

if you believe the pre-planned "barbed" comments from his rivals (who are no less dangerous if they were as close as Hamilton to the title) then you are definitely the type of person that holds this nation back and probably reads the sun....btw as you might not realise (it seems the case unfortunately) that nearly all F1 drivers "bugger off abroad" (you mean Monaco) after they become even abit successful.....targeting Hamilton alone for such behaviour is just plain ignorance/prejudice. btw none of what you say about him as a person has anything to do with his driving being "dangerous".

If senna was still alive then he would approve of Hamilton....

true, hes trying to be a winner....what a terrible trait eh?

btw I'm brit and I think its people like you who hold this nation back...

frontandcentre>you don't work in the financial sector by any chance? What you say has some truth to it (government's and individuals responsibility) but clearly its the collective lemming-like approach that the bankers have taken to creating non-nonsensical "investment instruments" that has been the foundation to this mess....people are right to feel aggrieved by the actions of the banks as for them, the banks have just pretty much been mis-selling to them and each other.

These comments show how opaque the financial system is to most ordinary citizens...one of the key points that governments around the world must force upon the financial sector is that from now on, they must ensure that whatever they do is understood by the people who cannot co-exist without it. The financial sector has been operating in arrogance for too long, holding all the card, smirking as it abused its position in society. No, I am not a fan of what is happening but I understand its necessary as the other option is global anarchy as the world scrambles to find a replacement for the capitalist system that we have been born into. For me, its better to use this event to force the necessary changes to the financial sector, even if there will be short term pain over the next few years for us all.

I agree about the very dodgy stewards decisions this year but if Hamilton had just stayed behind Raikonnen at Turn 1, then I'm sure the race was his to win...he should have kept his head and not got annoyed about his poor start and waited afew laps before re-passing Raikonnen as Hamilton was clearly quicker....Hamilton did this to himself...the stop/go penalties just compounded his error.

seriously....Hamilton said he learnt from last season but this race shows that hes still the same vunerable/over excited driver as before....there is no middle ground for hamilton in racing as he either obliterates the field or just creates mistake after mistake in a race.

I want him to win this year but I have my doubts after today....I fear its Massa's title

Who gives a flying what the UK press thinks about Palin?

Sarge> your comments reflects those that would vote for Mccain/Palin...sad indictment on the 45% of Americans and their view of the world.

As I discussed with my American friend the other day, the whole US election is one big pointless media/PR stunt with little policy development or any details of governance ability. The same people vote for each side and its the 3-4% of people who actually try to look past the image rubbish that actually swing it one way or other.

Watching a clip on the beeb news where they interviewed people from Ohio who actually thought that Obama was "an angry person whos not an American"....jesus what do they feed people in Ohio?

as for Palin, shes one big joke as for as the UK press is concerned. Who in their serious mind would think she could do a good job of international relations with the world? Shes so thin in capability as a senior civil servant that it should be clear to all US people that the republican team are the wrong choice. As for this latest report into abilities as a governor is damning...her crazy supporters would say that "she didn't break the law", BUT she abused her power and position and if she and the republican party thinks that is acceptable then god knows how they will govern the US with any fairness or transparency.

I fear for the US if the republicans are voted back in.....it can only be a slippery slope down for it if that happens.

blackfeet>no/low profit in Japanese real estate, therefore no investment domestically and after being stung so badly back then why would you try again?

and as for the Japanese banks and their rise in the foreign acquisition trail, it must really annoy the people who considered the Japanese financial sector as being poor relations compared to other countries.

cwhite> ur joking right? "bringing in the money"? You think the bankruptcy was no-one's fault? Nomura will have to integrate and take the best from the old lehman operations and dump the rubbish (which must have been part of the due diligence exercise).
