Asia is very different from where Hilton sits. walking into a macy's in the u.s. is a trip to an empty store compared to a lotte in Japan where there are reps everywhere.

a person only needs to see what mentality pervades 'big 3' supporters:
'my 69 has a 405 and a slap stick, etc.'
'my 64 and a half...'
basically it's old junk. futurism was never on their minds to begin with. while the world switched to metrics and it's accompanying precision, these buffoons were lost in the 60's.

after producing what amounts to trash in the 70's, 80's, and 90's, why does gm still exist? because a few neo-nationalists insist on gm. it's a waste.

'worry about image'. lol. i had to laugh really hard at that one. there isn't any, unfortunately for them. but it's not entirely their fault either. when your lands are directly attacked and occupied, what else would they do? don't worry, the Babylonian Empire was once almighty. look at it now. does that ring a bell for somebody else?

is it as high as the prejudice against those of the Jewish faith?
welcome to the club. racism is rampant on the continental u.s. to arabs, it's not worth going to the u.s. anymore. there are places on earth that are way better.

Nissan was bought out by Renault. Chrysler, before it was canned, by Daimler. Daewoo? That was GM's own bidding. This 'big 3' nationalistic jingoism has got to go. There was a time in the late 60's and 70's when these three were laughing at Japanese cars. I don't think Toyota dares to laugh at Tata in India, because you never know what they'll become in the future. It's just a culture of arrogance, ignorance, and sheer hubris over there. Let the buyer beware.
