combinibento- theres nothing come off I meant what I said, if I was anywhere else I would feel the same about that particular area. The thing is I have been to other locations lived there for a while and of course follow the news. I just dont recall being in an arena where not just this incident but many other incidents where dudes take their anger out on someone that might not be as strong as them. You say this is just a simple case of Domestin Violence but this is not simple somebody lost their life. The news can be used to shape the minds of the masses in a positive way or a negative or just simply give you an outlook on certain topics and/or locations. I just by happen to always see in JT crime section that men tend to beat lean towards bullying and killing someone that may not fight back as hard someone that would with same stature. 24 yrs old jobless "man" beats 100 yrs old quadropalegic woman who is blind and deaf in one ear with a titanium basebat because his mother wouldnt give him money for pacchinco; or man 40 yrs old, throws a 5 yrs old child to his death off of a 20 story building, man says " I did it because my boss yelled at me today."

As I stated before, seems like a lot of the dudes out here are weak, being that they cant control their frustrations. Another killing of a woman, eh. Maybe its the norm and I am not able to understand it because I am "gaijin;" if that is the case I apologize for commenting on something that is beyond my understanding. Thinking about it maybe his girlfriend threaten him or something, I dont know.

I think the only mental illness many people have here is weakness. I have noticed that men here in Japan that decide take their frustrations out do so by chosing the most vulnerable person they can find. Like with the stabbings incidents that go on, majority of the incidents are men stabbing women or children. In this incident its a 20 yrs old male pushing a 60 yrs old woman onto the train track. Maybe its just me that has noticed this observation but if you look at about 90% of the crimes here that involve people getting hurt, its a man hurting elderly, delicate women, and children. I am sure in this case there were hundreds of people to push over the edge (dont know why he chose to do that) but he chose a combination of the vulnerable, an elderly woman. I have lost a lot of respect for the dudes here because of that. If it is truly a mental illness that is causing such misfortunes the men really need some type mental health treatment and self confident classes on some ole- look and the mirror and tell yourself this every morning: "I am man, I don't have to pick on children, women, and elderly to feel better about myself."

I would probably go to their room and make sure I do something very drastic like kick their knee cap inwards and than boil some water and poor it on them. Hey, you want to play, lets play, right?

I am curious of why the DUMB DUMBS would use the girl’s cell to call the father, knowing damn well that there is GPS available for damn near all electronic devices these days; hell, even PSP has GPS on it..

I served as well but under the rule of Bush. I too would not be proud killing someone that is just a bystander. I think of life like this put yourself in that next man's shoes, so that way I don't be too biased and narrow minded. And for the record before anyone come at me thinking I am saying military soldiers are proud of causing suffering, thats not what I am saying.

    kinniku,

I am not speaking about what America is doing to show compassion. I am speaking of the thoughts of on lookers. Please do not take what I am saying literally as far "I have to do something about the crime so I must join the police force;" No, what I am saying is that I am constantly hearing other people's point of view about "why feel sorry for those people, they are the bad guys?" "We should blow the whole place off the map!" Yeah, I get excited because I try to imagine other people's suffering, while I gotta hear some war hungry but wont join the military to get a piece of that so called sweet action they thirst for. If you are nothing like that than you have no worries but if you are, you still have no worries just accept what I said and lets keep it moving.

The thing that kills me are the people that support war but dont join the military. They scream stupid sh!t like "silly libs think you can stop terrorist by saying please." People sit comfortably some where all in support from a distant but dont sign up for the cause; so its ok to them that innocent people are dying in a distant land because they are not there doing the killing; and their conscience are clear because they can turn and say "hey, I am not out there killing them." I truly wonder how would people feel if it is your home that has been quote unquote accidently blown to rubbles, or if it was your daughter, son, mother, uncle, etc. that was killed or mutilated by the foreign "world police." And it is not war that's ugly, its people that feel like you have to obliterate the whole phucking existence of man, thats ugly. Some people that say sh!t without thinking of the whole spectrum really need to STFU and understand that there is a bigger picture than what you are lead to believe but of course its hard for people to concieve such things because the Television speaks other wise but of course the argument can get into, "Well, the TV is the only way I can know the things that go on in this world," and thats when I have to wonder how is that man went from using inner sense and common sense to being brainwashed and easily manipulated to the point that they see killing of innocent people, whether it be in war in a different country or violence in your own country, as being acceptable. And of course because I have a so called "Liberal" way of thinking (whatever the hell that means), my view is delusional. But, I tell you what, put yourself in their shoes or better yet go to the country yourself and tell the individuals "Hey its war!" I will gain respect for at that point.

"A man wearing a a look-alike mask of U.S. President Barack Obama;" Oh and to the JT, nothing about the mask looks like President Obama. Have better taste in selecting the picture of the day.

I wonder why he couldnt wear Japan's Prime Minister mask or the Emperor's mask? Why make a mockery of another nation's leader versuses your own? If its because they dont want to disrepect their leader, than treat another nation's leader with the same respect.

Keeping in mind that everyone is not the same. I believe bullying makes kids stronger. Hell, bullying doesnt stop at being a kid so if you cant hack it at a young age you are in for a treat as you get older.

The problem here is that the society tries to act so damn conservative that their perverse ideas force its way out. I hope kat wasn’t questioning ole girl about a sexual incident that previously occurred and then he turns around sexually harasses her.

I agree with smartacus, how is it that people keep getting dragged along for the ride? I know someone already explained it but it is still weird. All the other places I been in europe and states, I hear about people getting hit or ran over, those seem like the only 2 options, dragged along is more like if someone is trying to rob someone in a car and the driver rolled the window up and press the gas with robbers arm still in the car. This place never ceases to amaze me. And on a side note like I told my wife, the elderly need to have a mental and reflex test in order to stay out and be behind the wheel. So, if the individual fail the test they need to be walking or taking public transportation (no bicycle) and be in doors by 1630 so the rest of the functional world can get on with our lives.

Good explanation CMEANDU, some people just use terms because they have heard others use it. Personally, I like to understand the meaning behind a term or expression before putting it to use, that way I don’t sound ignorant.

For the most part all the pieces are set in place and the G-DUB is not going anywhere, so might as well flip the topic to something that people can actually do something about.

Like cmeandu said this is petty compared to a lot of crimes that go on around here perse like I dont know...monthly stabbings. But it is foolish nontheless that a grown man is still trying to sneek-a-peek at other people getting their groove on. I think JT should have a foolish or strange crimes section, this would go along with the story where a guy was stealing childrens panties and another one had 5,000 (something aorund that fiqure) pair of stolen draws.
