Excellent post Minello7, I agree. Education should be the field-leveller from which everyone then goes on to make their mark. It seems kids in Japan are disadvantaged from the beginning.

I dont know for sure, but I imagine - from the CCTV evidence that they have, that he probably told her he didnt have the money for their lesson in the coffee shop and to come to his apartment and get it - that would be a fairly standard thing…

In this case it doesn`T sound like smoke detectors would have helped them, but I agree I am shocked that no houses here seem to have them, and this happens year after year.
