China has learned to pass on their food items, especially vegetables, through mislabeling practices, by having their products sent to Vietnam and Thailand where they are labeled as products of those countries, then sold to Japan. You can find them in 100-yen convenience stores for similar stores.

Worked as a certified lifeguard for several years we've had more lifeguards on duty when there were 30 swimmers in a pool. The 30-to-1 ratio is fine in a classroom situation but the pool is a completely different environment than that of a classroom. One person has only one pair of eyes and trying to cover all 30 children is unthinkable.
The responsibility lies with the school, not the teacher.

What poop White Day and Valentine's Day are in Japan! All the companies that I've worked for in Japan -- three in the course of 25 years -- have all banned such practice. I'm glad they did. The women, who make up only a quarter of the staff, complained that they had to buy so much chocolate for all the men.

Some people misunderstood the fact that Skymark Airlines is introducing this super-mini skirt as part of introducing its Airbus A330 only for six months from May 31. It has had a different uniform, meaning that inflight attendants are now faced with this newer uniform.

There are love hotels in Shinjuku, for example, that now offer regular hotels rooms as well as "love hotel" rooms. Friends from Asia found their hotel online, and when I went to meet them at their hotel, I realized it was a love hotel. Now you can't distinguish between the two as its appearance has been toned down.

So did no one protest when Jonathan's Restaurant, a family restaurant chain, began its foie gras and hamburger special? I guess Family Mart is a much bigger giant to challenge.

A key point to consider is the corruption among politicians and organized crime there that redirect funds into their own schemes to build their riches and leave people still suffering and with no aid from the donations.
