NKor has toys, and doesn't share well. A spaking appears in the asking right now. Let's keep our eyes focused and let the nut drink himself to death.

It is a public health thing. If you choose to live in Kodiak Alaska, you might be healthier with a gun or two. If you chose to live in a NY villiage, perhaps it is not the healthy thing to have easy access.
Thieves in the US look for 1) money; 2) jewelry/drugs/valuables; and 3) guns. Wolves and bears in Kodiak might respect your 2nd Amendment rights. Thieves do not.

Obama is not going to take away guns. I wish he would. He will not do it. In many ways he is more "conservative" than any other President in my 50 years.
"Conservative" is the wrong word for it. Free guns is a liberal law. Gun controls are not liberal, and they are healthy.

Restraining orders in the US often come with a warning before you file it. The guy just might get madder, and until he does something else the police cannot come after him.

An Ambassador to my wife's country moved back to Korea. He has skills. I cannot do anything like that, because I am not a US Ambassador.
Is there a way to apply for residence without any previous contact to Japan, soley on an Asian refugee and American husband who has some skills?

It is a cultural change that has to happen. It is going to happen.
In NYC, and to some extent other USA cities, public rail transit is considered normal daily life. California and most of the rest of the USA think hopping in a car is normal, even if it is to cross to a markiet three blocks away on the other side of a motorway clogged with cars going nowehere and getting into accidents.
Private industriy will not touch it without a cultural change in transportation, particulary in California. It will happen, and this is proceding accordingly right now.

Newt Gingrich led a similar "shutdown" of the USA in 1996, a presidential election year. NG was the head of the lower house of the American version of parliment.
It was a very unpopluar political move, and quickly set aside Newt Gingrich until a brief rally last year in the first round of his party's elections for a candidate to run against Obama.
Bill Clinton was running for reelection when it happened. That was the real motive for the "government shutdown," not the economy.
Clinton's White House was creative and did things to keep it from getting as bad as Newt Gingrinch and his ilk wanted, but none-the-less, the government did shutdown, twice, briefly during the final months of the election.

The myth about Afghanistan being uncoquerable gets a lot of play. There were opposition powers to the Soviet attempt. When the British were there the Russian Empire had a similar competing interest.
Afghanistan was most recently conquered by the Taliban, from Pakistan. The vast majority of Afghans were subjected to outside rule through the puppet Taliban.
NATO really does not want another Kosovo. But NATO's largest obstical to getting any progress was the inexplicable resignation of George Bush to Taliban control and Pakistan protection of Usama bin-Laden.

Also, you can admit you agree and not have the stigma of supporting something illegal. They are acting righteously, and I support them 100 percent.
