klein2. flapping your mouth again about things being safe. Where do you live exactly? It is so easy to be a big man when you are far away. You can say anything. Try living here. Try having your children live here. Why don`t you move up here if it is so safe. There are lots of opportunities here now. No?

Naive and simple. Hoserfella. Most of the hotels up here are sitting empty because no one will travel to Fukushima. The hotel owners would actually benefit from evacuees being put up. Where are the billions of dollars donated by the international community being spent anyway? On the new Shinakansen line from Tokyo to Osaka? If it were you in the evacuation centres, wouldn` you like some help, some dignity after losing everything. This could be done so easily it would make your head sping. Please think about your response before being so condescending. Sorry, some actually care about these people. Skywards. Some people have been put in hotels but too many are still in the shelters.

Any of you pro-nukes live in the high radiation zones?

5cents. I think ssway suggested that people should be evacuated. Please read the entire comment before launching your condescending question again. The comment is correct. While removing the soil has reduced the levels of radiation, the radiation particles will most certainly be spread around again by winds. Koriyama is a very windy city. And the soil that they have removed from the playgrounds is sitting in piles under blue plastic sheets because no one will take the contaminated soil. The Japanese government is not thinking in terms of safety, they are thinking only in terms of money. People, especially kids, should be evacuated. The radiation in my garden is about 3.5 to 4 microseiverst/hour depending where you place the Geiger counter. I live 200m from an elementary school.

Edano announced it. Was scooped by a Tokyo newspaper. I will ask my friend for the name of the paper and post it later if he still knows.

Moderator: Back on topic please. The subject is conspiracy theorists.

Sometimes where there is smoke, there is fire. Why is Kunihiko Takeda no longer allowed on TV? Why is the central government making a plan to get out of Tokyo? Number 3 reactor perhaps?

And once again, if the amounts are miniscule(as you say) come on up to Fukushima. Is a nice part of Japan. We need your tourist dollars.

Apparently, workers have begun shoring up reactor number 4. This would indicate that it is indeed leaning.

5cents. Thanks for your concern and thanks for the info. WilliB. It is "scary" if you live up here. You sound like the government. "Everything will be ok. Nothing to worry about." This recent release only adds to the 2 months of leaking. Radiation 'poisoning' is a cumulative process. Particulate in the air can be ingested by humans and lead to cancer in the future. Of course that is arguable. But if you are ok with it, I am selling my school. Come on up and live here. As I said, we measured the drainage line outside last night. It got up to 4 microseiverts/hour.

You are right horrified. Reactors are still leaking constantly. And the 500 million becquerels is truly scary. Measured the flower bed outside my house last night. Got up to about 3.5 microseiverts and the drain line was up to about 4. Did anyone else hear that reactor number 4 is leaning? It apparently holds the most fuel rods. If it collapses, the radiation release could be huge. Temperature in number 3 has also been rising. If anyone wants more info, please visit the NukeFree.org website. Lots of info on there and the articles are from many different sources.

There is no superman waiting to swoop in and save the day. What will changing the PM do? Those in waiting are also losers. Changing the PM or government now would only add unecessary confusion to things.

where? I told you where. put up some money and contract out some hotels that are probably just sitting empty in a normally busy tourist season. Burakumindes. Are you living in Fukushima City?

I live in Koriyama. I am a bit disappointed to see how poorly the city has set them up. Lots of onsen hotels around here. TEPCO or the government should be setting them up at some of these. At least Big Palette is a modern building and they will be warm and dry. One of my students has been taking futons and other things over there for her neighbourhood group. She says there are a lot of people in there.

How about the term "Nihordejin" for all those Tokyoites who horded goods that were desperately needed by those in Tohoku. I hate all these terms by while everyone is on the topic.........."Nihordejin"
