I hope they won't lose focus on their main purpose ... providing entertaining games. Sony did the same and wants their Playstation 3 to become a multimedia center and we can see the results ... Most of the normal people (opposed to long time gamers) wants something simple and clear. Wii is to play game, clear enough.

You're right, the plot is not that good too. The action is not related to anything ... it's like "Bond is walking, someone arrives, fight". Why? ... Well... it's a fight, who cares why?!
Japan is late for a lot of movies (almost all of them). Sometimes, the DVD of the movie is in shops in Europe and USA and the movie is not yet out in theatre here in Japan! I thought about that and I thought that maybe there is kind of a quota for foreign movies, like in China I think. Maybe that's a way to protect local production but limitating the amount of foreign movies at a time. But then, how they choose which one to be shown at a time, I guess there's the money factor.

I think the problem is not only the face of people in the street. If I'm not wrong, when you record a movie (commercial movie) in the street, you need to ask every owner if they agree to let their house being shown on the footage. That's why "lost in the translation" was recorded on the run ... Here, Google use it as a commercial product (even if it is free) so the same laws should be applied.
