As long as Okinawans do not want it, Japan would have to change something better. The US can not do this forever because it did it for more than 50 years. The time has changed.

Japan does NOT say all US military support or all bases. Japan said it does not want one base of Futenma air base, "just one base", All bases except one base will remain same in Japan as same as before. I don't think it it too much to ask the US. I wonder what makes difference as 99 percent is still same?

I heard that the statue was made in France and the permission was needed by France to put it in Odaiba.

It seems that Japan is importing more tuna from exporter countries but actually not any more. China is now number 1 importing more tuna. Chinese people in middle class used not to eat tuna many years ago. Anyway Japan is often losing to buy tuna. Probably China pays more money to buy them at markets all over the world.

It doesn't matter whether tuna is fresh or not. Japanese eat some kinds of tuna very often. Probably many kinds of cookings need tuna but I don't know which tuna it is. Some friends eat tuna 3-4 times a week, that includes sushi, sashimi, onigiri, tuna bento, tuna canned food,,,.sweet tuna for dessert,,,fried tuna tenpura,,,etc.

Tuna is really endangered fish. Most Japanese eat tuna too often. They should reduce number of times. They do not need to eat it almost everyday.

space monkey - If so why don't you ask other marine lawyers about the incident? Or you worry about something else? People usually should ask other lawyers, not only your family members, not idiot posters. Fathers very likely say "My son, you are always right on what you always do".

space monkey - I mean you should ask professional marine lawyers, not soldiers, not politicians,,,,. I hope you understand it.

space monkey - Australian navy surely will shoot me like hell in the first place if I do it to your Navy as the same as SS harassments/terrorists actions/pirates actions. Finally I would die there and sink there. That is Navy/soldiers thinking it a little different way.

I do not support SS because SS use terrible violences to do what they want like child. Violence is violence, Crime is crime, Terrorists are terrorists, whatsoever,,,. SS have sinking many vessels all over oceans in the past. I'm sure to think these actions are terrorists. SS said "Whale War" days ago after AG incident but they have been doing war for many many many years as if they love war. Anyway FBI say SS are terrorist. That is enough to understand it.

ef2k - Norway, Iceland, US, Russia, China, S Korea,,,,did not say whalers are eco-terrorist but they and FBI (is not whalers) said SS are eco-terrorists. I think you only think in your brain whalers are.

There is one think I don't understand. Why did not SS make stronger/bigger boat to protest there? AG seems to be very fragile, very weak, not strong and is made of carbon plastics, not steel. As you see, Antarctic water is very very rough, strongly windy,,, and there are many big/small chunks of icebergs all over there. I though that AG might hit icebergs somewhere while running so fast all over. After all AG hit bigger vessel instead of ice.

womanforwoman - You are thinking what pro-whalers are doing is wrongdoings but all pro-whalers do not think that way, rather they think right thing to hunt sustainable amount of whales.

Hey, before saying criminal action, SS is considered "terrorists" organization on the black list by FBI. They all are "wanted" by INTERPOL because they have been breaking the international law. SS guys are very welcome to Japan's nice prison for years.

That is a good news to hear about it. SS should have called their Navy rescue operation as soon as possible. $2 million thing is all gone now in vain.
