If you are the president of the company and ask what your employees do for fun, your subordinates will say you are a visionary. If you are 22 and are thinking about entering the same company, you are arrogant if you ask that. The problem is not what they are asking, but that they are asking. Newly graduates are considered by companies as retarded.

What was the problem? Did a Tunaget contaminated? Did workers complain? The use of semi public fucilities for non ad hoc activities (like people drawing sketches of the paintings at museums). Shouldnt clear signs of no flash,no touch be enough?

this is a very good thing, to pick the best catchphrases of the year. Arafo I think is used for single women around 40, who decided to work instead of getting married. I told a woman that once and she said I was disrespectful. For women that take good care of themselves, around 40 is their best age.

very good article. I use my home country credit card, I dont know if you can apply while living in Japan, but it works for me. The article makes a good point and, as the author, I hardly use the credit card, simply because I dont need credit. But to buy in Amazon, book a hotel or pass the US immigration officials at their aiports I need a credit card. I will try to get a credit card just to see if they accept me...

The greed was not only of the financial companies' CEOs: the average American spent more than what he earned in the last years. Just ridiculous.

This article (and news) is so funny... 1) "he visited a local police box near the Imperial Palace together with five friends" Who visits a police box? is is a tourist attraction? 2) "Fifty police officers and firefighters were mobilized to catch the man" Of course, they would not try to stop yakuza or prostitution, so they have plenty of time to deal with this minor issues. 3) "He was in the water for about an hour." That is why moats should have crocodiles, not just carps. 4) "A palace official said the emperor was in the palace, but it was unlikely he saw the nude swimmer" He must have been very busy, doing what the Japanese emperor always does...

1) Leaders dont want to make Sumo a "global" sport. 2) You dont need to make strict controls on steroids to sell your sport to the world. Look at the American sports (NFL, MBL, NBA) with players packed with steroids. That is the reason why forming a competitive team to compete internationally is so hard for the US. 3) Ths Sumo wrestlers knew they couldn't smoke marihuana. 4) Feakonomics has very controversial results. Players with a 7-7 record are certainly more motivated and concentrated than those ones whose fates are already decided. Excellent read, anyway. 5) As Japan is the only place where you can practice sumo professionally, you must attain strictly to its rules. If Italy, for example, prohibits football players to have sex, most of the players would go to England, Spain or wherever. Here you have no choice.

You don't understand the pajama thing because you are not a "celebrity".
" The service targets consumers in their teens through 30s, who are not familiar with PCs, " Well, then there is no point in putting this on a webpage. Mabe they should send the message of the new product to the targeted group by ttelegram, Morse code or smoke signs...

I have never been in jail, but a friend has (he was under arrest for 20 days because they thought he could have done something close to something illegal... and he was from Peru).THey do not let you read anything that is not in Japanese, speak with other immates in a language that is not Japanese. I really doubt that they give foreigners "meat and bread". Besides, the implication that people would like to get arrested so they can make 2000 yen a month is ridiculous.
