I think spudman is correct. Ichiro should be at the Mariners camp trying to improve relations with teammates. A lot of the players will not play because of insurance or allegiance to their teams. I hope the games are interesting. The Olympic games were interesting.

I really like the way Nagoya has encouraged people to ride bicycles by charging bicylists to park their bikes. They even hire old men to give bicycle parking tickets. Way to go. Just my 2 yens worth

Replacing him with another LDP member would probably not make much of a difference. I think Japan should look for someone that has been successful in another area. Perhaps a former baseball manager or a University president. Just my 2 yens worth
