As much as I disagree with Alphaape, at least he has something to say about the case.

He was NOT an alleged killer until AFTER he escaped. But why am I not surprised that 20/20 hindsight is yet another one of your faults? The facts of that case are readily available on the net. He did not walk calmy away.
Well I suggest you take neither mine nor his, but rather, get the facts and then judge. The FACT of whether he TRULY left the scene remains to be found out. Just how far is it to "leaving the scene". Where did he go? What did he do? Those questions remain to be answered. I do not mind that you take someone else's opinion over mine. I mind that you extrapolate facts from his opinion, facts he does not back up. I mind your sloppy approach that seems more about criticism than finding the truth.
And it still remains that he had a survivor and witness to protect. But hey, if you want to think that is not important, and he should be stalking into the house to apprehend an unknown number of perps, or making circles around it making sure the perp or perps do not get out, well you just right ahead. I don't give a crap anymore.

Gone where? From the doorstep? Does not say he "left the scene".
And one still cannot see what is happening on the far side of a house! Size hardly matters! Neither do the dimensions. A house is three dimensional object each and EVERY time, hardly even made of completely transparent material, and that is all you need to know.
Apparently you are.
The only ball that needs progess here rests on top of your shoulders.
Actually I did. Look at the source. And he is offering an opinion, not specific details ie facts, of which I will put dollars to donuts he does not know this one.

fds: why did he have to retreat to call back up? the cop had a gun didn't he?
And maybe the perp did too. A gun does not stop bullets you know, it only spits them out. Running into a house where a killing nutcase is is really dangerous, even when you have a gun in your hand. Its also really irresponsible because if you fail and have not informed anyone, then that just gives the perp even more time to carry on and more opportunity to get away. Just because he got away this time does not mean that is the way it works EVERY time.
And the one guy who probably had any chance of surviving this madness once the police arrived was saved, just because a cop went to the house after a guy was reported to have not shown up for work. Anybody grateful about that?
But if the cop entered the house, walked into a booby trap, was killed by the perp and the perp went on to kill the younger brother too, you would be asking "Well why did that cop not call for backup and wait for them to arrive?"

Yeah, but not EVERY time. Man, you just don't get it. Next time ask your friend about not about stuff like that, but about stuff like THIS. And hold your tongue and let him speak freely. You start saying "but, but, but" and he is going to just tell you what you want to hear. Not everybody is as patient as I am. You might even link him up to the article so that he can think for himself, rather than you give him your version of events so you can get what you want to hear.
Are you really that geometrically challenged? You cannot see what is happening on the other side of a house!
Where does it say he left the scene???????????????????????????? He retreated, probably no more than 20 meters. Its called covering you butt, a thing you cannot do while standing on the lintel nose to nose with a suspect.

Hard to believe such a comment is allowed, let alone an apt response to get erased. Looking at a completely innocent pic of a 12 year old and muttering crap about pedos, swimsuits and leather is not only pathological but also in poor taste.

As always, thank you cleo for injecting some sense into the thread.
My initial reaction was the same as yours, and still likely since we tend to get essential details chopped out around here.
But there is always the possibility that it was just the three of them, and the man expected them to enter the restaurant by themselves, and maybe they usually did but got sidetracked this time. Not that that would excuse the man if true.

Almost exactly two years ago in Aichi, one cop was shot to death and another was wounded and left on the pavement for hours before being rescued. Cops are little leary of busting into houses now. Go figure.

Unlikely, unless the perp disappeared before those nine cops arrived. 1) this was a house, not an apartment building. 2) this was an officer calling for backup after a crime had been *known *to have been committed, which makes a fat difference in alertness of police 3) Apparently police cannot even knock on the door without cause, but they had it this time.
This is not a difference of semantics.

You are right, I am not a fan of TV shows designed to brainwash you by never showing the footage they have of the heat failing to do their jobs and perps getting away.
But since you seem to be a fan, can you name one instance from the show of a lone cop drawing his gun and bursting into a house after a tied up dude flopped out of a window?

Then we are in agreement.
No. And I have made the point myself.
That is where we are going to differ. I am good with budget surpluses due to not wasting money. But I can to do math, and I agree this is a drop in the bucket compared a bunch of other wastes of money that bear the names of countries and Halliburton.
Luckily, nothing serious happened. But it very well could have. It was wreckless and irresponsible, and I want those responsible punished. Instead, I come here and get badmouthing of Obama, lame attempts at trashing the left, pin the tail on Caldera, and other such nonsense.
The only thing I am upset with Obama about is not axing those truly responsible for this. Caldera does not seem to be the man.

I expect the man is as influential with the Egyptian government as, say, Jerry Falwell was to ours.
Correct. I expect Obama to appeal to moderates and help increase their ranks, thereby reducing the appeal of the nut you introduced to us. No one said Obama was going to Egypt to appeal to the Muslim Brotherhood, or any other extremist group. What he is doing is going their to shut them up, by all the means available except bombing them into submission. Part of that might be doing things even people in the Brotherhood approve of, as they surely would approve of Palestine being free from Israel. That will give them one less issue to rant about, less traction for their wheels of slime.
And about that nut: Doesn't his declaration of "They will never stop fighting us" sound suspiciously familiar??? Yes, extremists have a lot in common, but fortunately, they are not ALL THAT common in this world. Just noisy.

First off, I am primarily concerned with what happens in and with my own country, AMERICA, than about some religious stance in another country. That concern extends to the foreign policy of my country.
Second, the minute some Muslim Brotherhood member comes on here posting against gay marriage like some people do, I will give him hell too.
I will give him twice as much hell if he is American and actually has something of a say about what happens in America, my country.

Exactly. But New Yorkers are justifiably angry. Neither camp is directing their feelings appropriately. And our side, yours and mine Sushi, are too busy defending Obama to dig up the people who are the real problem with this low altitude flyover that should have been photoshopped.
