when CB Liddel writes about 'real' Japan he gets ridiculed on JT, when he writes about the mythical side to Japanese culture and history he gets more of the same. what do you suggest he write about next to please your fickle tastes? as for 99.99 blah blah%...the article mentions Fortean 7 or 8 times, anyone interested can google, or not as they choose, maybe some of that 99.blahblah will be interested in it.

it is a shame that for years Japan's main focus on all international policy has been the abduction issue (and occasionally a few piddly islands that no-one lives on). no they shouldnt be forgotten or ignored but there are FAR more pressing issues in Japan now that affect THOUSANDS more people EVERYDAY. not that the govt will ever do anything other than guts poses and blow hot air about the future.
