bluray is a vast improvement. not just detail but colour and especially sound. of course you need a decent sized HDTV and sound system but play a BR next to a DVD you'll be impressed. as for ps3 games, MGS4, GTA4, COD4 are 3 of the best games on any system ever and more than justify getting a ps3.
