Russia's Kremlin is becoming more and more like the Chinese Politburo.
It's a sign of desperation when the "Blame the U.S." bogeyman is once again played. That's unbecoming for a great nation like Russia.

Shows how hard it is nowadays that the likes of Jeter and Yankees could stay together throughout the career.

With the money being thrown around the MLB winter meetings the last few days (Angels over $300 million, Marlins almost $200 million) - I guess when Darvish saw that, that was the straw that broke the camel's back and made up his mind.
On that note, with all that money being thrown around by teams, not just the BoSox and Yankees but everyone bidding for the free agents, there are now a lot of Evil Empires who shouldn't be whining how other teams spend their money.

Assad is playing semantics just because it's another relative who is actually playing the role of enforcer.
And even if Assad didn't "technically" order the crackdown, they should ask why he doesn't or can't stop it, when he's the leader. By not stopping it, he's still complicit - doesn't matter if he didn't "technically" order it.

He didn't. He couldn't afford the $250K bail, and so went to jail.
And even if he could post bail, he would have to wear those electronic tags.

Early 1940s American military wasn't all that good - America didn't become a superpower till after WW2.
And early 1940s, a navy's main weapon is the battleship, not the carrier which was just used to support the battleship. It was because Japan bombed the battleships in Pearl Harbor that America learned to use carriers as the main weapon.

Well, Apple's tagline has always been to make it as easy for users to use, ever since the beginning computer.
Basically, make them idiot-proof - any idiot can use it. Apple would not have a problem with that.
So ya have a lot of Apple users who don't know exactly the nitty-gritty how their computers work - but then, they don't have to. Just as Apple would want it. They can be as dumb as they want - Apple will take care of the rest.

I've seen previews of Win8 - they're making it more tablet-ready (and thus apps) and more of those dreaded "ribbons" (although you could switch to the classic style if you want).
Doesn't matter which OS it is, more hackers and virus-makers will always target the OS with most users, for obvious reasons. Ya don't see too many of them targeting Microsoft phones, do ya? (Despite it being Microsoft.)

He'll back up not only Jeter but also Nunez, who is the Yanks' backup shortstop. I think Jeter has 2 or 3 more years on his contract, so Nakajima would be spending a lot of early time in the minors to get some playing time - unless he plays better than Nunez (or the Yanks trade Nunez for some pitching) or until Jeter becomes a DH.
But that's putting the wagon before the horse: Nakajima and NYY haven't even started negotiating yet.
