It means the cars are reaching speeds that are too fast for the track to handle. The track was too narrow for so many cars going at such high a speed.

The problem with companies is they all correlate their CEOs' pay to the top tier companies' CEOs' pay, even if their own company is not one of those top tier companies. They don't correlate it to the middle tier companies. That's why even middle and lower tier companies pay out their CEOs like they're rich - they have these illusions of grandeur, gotta keep up with the Joneses!

marcels,
You're out of date. Nadal is considered an all-court player for a long while now. He beats anyone on any surface. That's how he rose to #1. Clay is still Nadal's best surface, but you're selling him short on hard-court.

Making your way in the world today takes everything you've got.
Taking a break from all your worries, sure would help a lot.
Wouldn't you like to get away?
Sometimes you want to go
Where everybody knows your name
And they're always glad you came.
You wanna be where you can see
Our troubles are all the same.
You wanna be where everybody knows your name.

Jobs became successful because he got so many people to believe in him. If he says this is a great product to buy how ever expensive, many people would consider getting it even when they didn't even have a use for it before. Who else could do that? If HP said the same thing, if Microsoft, if Toyota - would people believe them at their word?
It's not necessarily the products (Apple's products are not always the best version out there) - it's that many people believe in Jobs. If a competitor says that their product is better, would people believe it without checking? If Jobs says the same thing, would people believe him without checking first?

Jobs used to be a toker in his younger years. This is just speculation, but that may have something to do with it, along with stress and workaholic (both suppress the immune system).
