It's like the 80's and early 90's again - who would've predicted in preseason that the 49ers will once again be hosting the Giants for the NFC Champ!
So out of all that offense-filled season, 3 of the last 4 teams have good defenses. The more things change, the more things stay the same.......

This is a good signing for both teams. Each team filled their needs (Seattle needs sluggers; Yanks needs pitchers) while trading away positions of depth (Seattle's minors are rich with pitching prospects; Yanks have good catcher prospects). And the Yanks didn't have to give up their close-to-ready top 2 pitching prospects who they can afford to give another year to develop. That youth-movement with Pineda's low cost locked up till 2014 and Kuroda for one year plus other expiring contracts, the Yanks could finally reach their goal of under the luxury tax line.
So now, Yanks have 7 starting pitcher candidates. In a matter of a couple hours, what was their weakness has become their strength. When before, it was C.C. then hope for the best till it's C.C.'s turn again. Now, the first 4 SP spots seem set to be C.C., Nova, Kuroda, Pineda. Burnett is definitely out (the Yanks would rather eat his contract than go thru another summer of that again). So that leaves Hughes and Garcia. Garcia is old while Hughes is a notorious slow-starter, so that may actually work out by having Garcia start with Hughes in the bullpen, then as the long season comes along, stretch-out Hughes to get starts, while giving Garcia some rest.
Anyways, doesn't matter who the favorite is. Remember who "won" last year's postseason?

34 tournaments is overkill. But if he's gonna do it, it's better to do the jet-setting while young.

Though it should be a bit easier to get in more and more, as youth population decreases.

Taliban have beheaded captured soldiers before, whether NATO or Pakistani.
Taliban are allied with Al-Qaeda's ideologies. Al-Qaeda in Iraq had dragged dead soldiers on the street and hanged them upside down on a bridge.
Let me reiterate again: they have never signed the Geneva. Their perspective of religion does not prohibit such acts against infidels. There is nothing that they are beholden to from doing such acts. It's just accepted as regular warfare. Nothing more, nothing less.

The management were stupid not to form a line when they first started noticing people queuing up the night before (which should've been expected), like they do in other Apple Stores launches. And not planning for extra security to enforce order from the start.

In any of these trespassing violations, some people think the onus is on the homeowner to make sure the trespasser is friendly.
No, the onus is on the trespasser to make sure the homeowner thinks he/she is friendly.
Whether by gun or a baseball bat to the knee or a golf club to the head, the homeowner will definitely protect him/herself and his/her property, as it is their right.
It's up to you, if you're the trespasser, to protect yourself by making sure that they know your friendly intentions before you even enter. It's not up to them.
