After U.S. VP AlGore received a Nobel Prize, well, it's become rather meaningless, no? Oh, and recently there was that other American guy, too...

It's like not keeping score and trophies for all... and I know you know what I'm talking about.

But then again, "lunch meat" has an unusually long shelf life, too (lol).

    Do tell.

Up to eight years ago MOS had a great burger but they lost my business. Why? They held their prices during the hard times but visibly shrank their star product. Oh! I haven't eaten there since.

Tip: Losing a lifetime customer is very costly. Also, "kuchikomi" can kill a business.

Well, all this "feels" pretty good, don't it?

I'd like to see a follow-up piece telling us how much they can give to fight cancer after their "operating costs."

In a public company shareholders allow what a CEO makes. If they don't agree with it -- for any reason -- then they sell their interest in the company. If this continues the board of directors then fire the CEO. Ya dig?

    See: equity

Odd that no-one balks about the compensation of leaders of private companies, eh?

First the CEO's salary, next yours. Just give it some time.

    It's all about control.

I wonder why smoking is demonized but not alcohol. I've yet to hear of someone having a smoke and then beating up their spouse.

The real "monsters" are those selfish people who insist on smoking and polluting the air that we breathe in various places.

    Various places: cars, trucks?

Man-oh-man, even trees pollute. Check it out.

    40 years ago non-smokers cared not. I think we've created anti-smoking "monsters."

Tobacco doesn't kill young people. SHS is a modern-day myth. Some may find flatulence on a a train or even a compost pile more disgusting.

    Open a window.

"New" union for club hostesses hold their first strike (protest).

It would be interesting to know who is driving this union; the nationalists or the communists (they hate each other).

Been there, done that, do tell, please.

Many hostesses have complained about not getting paid, violence, sexual harassment and fine systems.

Been there, done that. Quit, you idiot.
