Bunch of guys who work together decide to form a sports team. How is this news?

Yokomoc, its in the sports section. Japan's obsession with baseball runs across professional, amateur/corproate, schools and universities. No harm in this piece being in the sports section.

Good luck to them. If corporates can have sports team, no reason why the civil servcie can't!

This is so typical of the american ignorance and arrogance that is the american trait.Ignorance that they cannot understand culture and respect and arrogance that they think their president and culture is above all others. It is for this reason (and also their lack understanding of geographies beyond their state) that Americans would forever be seen as stupid fools who flash the green bucks and never understand a thing. A wrong perceptuion yes, but one perpetuated by the minority of americans who are like that...

Hong Kong has the advantage of being one of the world-famous 4 tigers and a superior English system, opening thousands of doors to foreign talents.

    Gaijinochio....

HK has no distinctive advantage over any country (I'm living and woring here now so I can say that for sure) in the sense that this is a generational problem globally. You have a generation of kids coming into the workforce who have enjoyed the benefits of a scoiety becoming more affluent. They're the PSP / Nintendo DS generation. Kids who's parent bought them new in toys , went to school and came home to play computer games etc etc...they probably hardly played team sports like football, rugny, soccer or whatever and as such do not know how to co-operate and appreciate team work. Hell they've probably never played in a park and had a sandlot fight! We tend to call them the greenhouse flowers in that they've been brought up in a very protective environment.

In my line of work, the Greenwich Surveys mean a lot, client feedback about how we're doing. One of my colleagues got a shit load of ppor comments from her client and all she could do was bitch and moan about this and that. As her boss, I just wondered, is she thinking through about her feedback? Where there's smoke there's a fire right? Even if the house was burning down, a lot of these younger kids who started working just wouldn't care!

Once things get involved they feel too lazy to keep going and just move on to the next disaster.

PepinGalarga have to toally agree with you. What people fail to realize is that a relationship is a commiotment and not a matter of convenience. A marriage is a step further and also just the beginning. Often at my expense and due to my crass behaviour, i've relaized that a step too late in my own marriage and have to remind myself that with a thousand and one apologies. That said, marraige and parenthood have their uncomparable joys, when one does try to make it work.

In this age of self, its a pity that people dion't try harder to make it work.

Guys, outfit aside, I'm all for Aya Sugimoto. She's got a great figure that would make girls who have more than 10yrs youth on her jealous, and she can surely give a run on anay 18 year old. If she's up for being a couger, I'm all for being the prey!

You know guys, whilst I have no sympathy for him, I have a lot of respect for his sister. She's right, family is family and as the saying goes, blood is thicker than water. If the piece of trash that is Oshio Manabu is to have any hope of rehabilitation, he'll need all the support he can get and it starts with family.

Being ostracized from the roppongi folk may not be a bad thing for him. Maybe he'll realize what friends mean and who they are. Society has an obligation to rehabilitate people and let's hope he's learned his mistakes.

What Japan eeds is a real good long look in the mirror. The country is falling to pieces on a deficit that it cannot mamage and run. There will inevitably be a long sustained period of pain, where it needs to shrink back the economy and waste. It will may mean a period of high unemployment as people need to be retrained to create new skills. Are the public prepared to accept that? The bureacrats known as the civil service that will have to execute such a plan...whoever thinks that they will execute the plan that will cut them off has to be smoking somthing that makes eveything that foreigners are supposedly distributing look mild!

seems like its getting worse as more people catch on that enforcement is lax and penalties are low.

fds let me rephrase my point. It's always been around it's been as bad as it ever was.

1). Drugs could always be procured. 2). Tax evasion has always been around in the size and scope. 3). The Yak use to be far worse and have even more gun fights and hits then than they do now. 4). Illegal gambling, hell they were in every prefecture. Even in nara the serenist of cities in japan! 5). Prostitution well we don't need to say more on that right!

This must be the 10th time I've read such an article over the years. Its such a pity....Locker up the mother and throw away the key. This is such a meaningless death. They should pass a law that pachinko parlours are required to hire security guards who's job is to patrol the car park and tow away any car with a child inside unattended. They should have the right to break into the car and takle the child out. Instead blaring out which pachinko machine has started the lucky fever, they can blare across the PA system, which car has just been towed away and for the owner to come forward. That way the stupid punter can walk across teh floor for all to see.

Knowing hwat happens in japan, they'll probably park further away from teh pachinko parlour and still do the same idotic stupid thing...

My eyes scanned up and down the picture. Have to admit, most of the costume is a travesty, but my eyes finally settled around the middle and I have to share Anomaly Jr's view that the hot pink suspenders and knickers really got to me too. Call me shallow guys!
