cow76, the Japanese people DO KNOW that their team has continuously been savaged by the all blacks, aussies and many more. Passion for the game though still runs deep.
Agree with northlondon that japan can on any given day give many of the northern hemisphere teams a good fight.
I saw the Bledisloe Cup game that was played in HK and there was passion amongst the fans and the players even though it was played outside of the home countries. Will be up in Tokyo for the 31Oct!

I wonder,at what stage will the JFA be calling up Koki Mizuno. He's had a decent solid year at Celtic albeit difficult to regularly hold down a first team place. His debut goal as a starter was a cracker.

Ross Brawn without a doubt is the guy to head this team, though I doubt whether financially, he'll be able to secure the necessary funds for the entire season and more.
Good luck and may teh force be with you.

Me wife was surfing through youtube last night on the back of this news going through some old Ai chan videos from her variety days like KinSma.
Apparently Ai chan was told by a fortune teller that some awful fate will befall upon her if she quit the entertainment industry and that her illness was a facade to leave the industry. The fortune teller could not have the heart to disclose her fate on the broadcast should she leave and told Ai Chan in private off air, at which point ai chan apparently screamed in disbelief and understood why the fortune teller could not say it out loud on TV. It may be her death was fortold to her and that is why she went reclusive and died alone.
A pity really as if that story is true, she had the chance to avoid such fate and it appears that there were other reasons why she left the industry.

Wow, Stallone,Dolph Lundgren, Arnie....all they need is Jean-Claude Van Damme, and they have all the 80's muscle actors who speak english with a wierd accent....
Jet Li, Mickey Rourke and Forrest Whitaker should be excluded from that sad grouping since they stand on their own merits and not just a pair of over muscled legs...

As a paerent of 3 and soon to be a parent of four, I can't believe that people can be so heartless and cruel to do such a thing.
Hakujinsensei, please don't give me that crap. If she cared or wanted to help this child, she should put the baby up for adoption. Just because she is overwhelmed, the baby shouldn't have to pay the consequence with her life. For peets sakle it was 4 degrees and a blanket alone doesn't help.
What happened here is a crime. It may not be murder, but it is manslaughter. I hope the parents of the baby (boththe father and mother) get the jail sentence that they deserve. Maybe whilst in jail, they can think through on what a despicable act it is that they have done.

fordtuff, what steroids ruins is the integrity of the game. The rcords broken by McGwire, Siosa, Bonds when hitting all those home runs, were done so with the administration of steroids (or so we interpret based on the allegations). Hak Aaron's carear record ot Roger Maris' single season record were most likely (I say most likely as we may never know)achieved without such performance enahncers.
What Steroids has done is give players what we now detemrine as an illegal advantage (since they are supposedly banned) and also create an uneven playing field versus history and thereby questioning the legality of these new records and also sacrifing the integrity of the game. Needless to say we haven't even got into the ethical issues related to the damage steroids does to your body and mental well being.
There are other things within sport such as technical advantages which you may say also create an uneven playing field. Those will just have to be dealt with as they go. But the reality is thiose advantages are advantages against history and not against current competition. So in that sense, levels the playing field, although it may advantage them over historical records, but I say let people be the judge of that. An example is that people will still admire Nicklas and whilst woods may have the advatge of equipment in chasing his grand slam record, it doesn't discount in anay way Nickals' achievements or Woods athleticism. Steroids though is a speerate matter totally. Look at McGwire and Bonds and everyone's reacton to A-Rod.
