Taking J-police confessions with a grain of salt is one thing but, one shouldn't forget how highly improbable is the claim that the boy was killed by a total stranger within a 2 minutes time span.

In that kind of situation, I would simply walk in and peacefully take the victim with me without even raising the voice. I highly doubt the two girls would try to interfere.
