Let's put whaling aside. And make an example of two cars on the road. One truck is minding his business trying to work. And another mini car tailgates it, throw things at it, comes really close looking for an accident, and maybe have someone jump on to the truck. And then an accident happens.... if you put aside the personal problems both drivers might have against another.... I don't see how the instigator shouldn't take most of the blame. I apologize with some of you don't agree at all with this example.

Sea Shepard. They were looking for trouble. Harrassing, throughing things at the Japanese boat, getting very close to it, and sometimes even boarding it dangerously. Don't they have a sea law that prohibits those kind of acts. Maybe they are both at faults. But clearly Ady Gil bares a lot of responsibilities.

can't believe Amuro is still only 32. Feels like she has been in the music industry for a couple of decades already.

I have to believe she was in a serious condition of depression to do this. My wife has depression and I have read everything you could imagine to try to understand her state of mind. And the only reason I am still sane is because of my son.
My pt is- if she had a serious condition of depression when she murder-suicide, I have to believe she was mentally insane.
Either way, i dont care...it was "total selfishness by the mother"...period!

If taking the base off Okinawa is not an option, then a realistic option I see is by compensating people living near to the base. I might be wrong, but one of the biggest problem I hear with the bases are that they are too close to residential area. A way to quarrel down the resentment is by maybe pay money to people living near the base. I don't live in Okinawa so I will never be able to understand what they are going through. But if I was paid like 1 mil a yen for living there, maybe I will suck it up and live there even with the noise. Or maybe a tax exemption might sound more probable. I don't know...this is just a thought.

I love Sara Palin. I really left sorry for her when she got bashed by the media while she running for vice presidency.
That said, if she tries to run for the VP or the presidency, I'll make sure to not to vote for her and for the other candidate.

I never really liked her acting. A lot of people might enjoy her acting, but for some reason, her acting looks really un-natural....kind of fake

of course not. Besides, Under Japanese law, Sakai will just get probation. Just jike Oshio... but they better find a way to pin some jail time for the death of that woman...

It was a cowardily act for Abdullah to withdraw from the runoff election. UN watchdog would have been more careful to see if the runoff election was fair or not. They were never given that chance. And if the runoff election was rigged, I believe the UN watchdog will again void a lot of votes. And Kazai will than be forced to make more changes for maybe another runoff election. By withdrawing from the runoff election, we will never know. Abdullah's action was just unjustified and cowardily. Abdullah just delayed the democratic process of Afghanistan.

If it was someone else, there probably wouldn't be much of an disagreement. But since this time it's a polirizing figure- the sitting president of the united states- maybe some many of us expected more. I would have rather giving Obama more time to enlarge his pofolio of acheivements before I vote on him. Like I said before, maybe the competition was weak this yr.

i think it's all about competition. Maybe this year's nominees lack depth and the best one they came up with was Obama.
There's always got to be a winner.
