Sorry but as much as I detest Bush and the like, if the idiots didn't sign up to go and fight in Amerca's wars of global conquest they wouldn't get hurt or killed, no sympathy for them, I save that for the millions of innocents killed during the last 50 years of American brutality.

Zambezi Dan. Two points, 1st, compared to coal, nuclear power isn't dangerous, its the profit obsessed idiots like tepco that manage it that are dangerous, 2nd, no country that has developed nuclear energy first has gone on to make nuclear weapons, its ALWAYS weapons first. Nuclear energy IS necessary, at the moment, its not perfect but at the moment there is NO viable option. Unless you want to go back to living in a cave.

The quote function is crap. Anyway my above comment was aimed at foxie who said this was the worst disaster that ever happened on this planet. What a ludicrous thing to say. Only someone who thinks anything that happens outside of Japan could make such a dumb statement.

As much as i feel sympathy for the innocents who died, something like this was bound to happen. It will also happen again. For too long the USA has been causing this kind of trauma to other people, and still is. Play with fire and you get burned.

Virtuoso i suggest you read that book again. The comparisons he was making were 1, the targeting of civilians ie sept/11 and Hiroshima, and 2, unforseen consequences of badly thought out actions ie Pearl Harbour and the invasion of Iraq

'People should not be allowed to drive and smoke either. They are dangerous.' How about texting or just using the ever present mobile phone. How about babies without seatbelts. Smoking is the least of the dangerous things Japanese do while driving. But try enforcing rules about any of those things and watch the them start whining. This is about MONEY and nothing else. Since when did the government in this country care about peoples health. More radiation anyone?

The Japanese don't even care about their own people so it's no suprise they left untold numbers of animals to suffer and die through starvation, civilised country my arse.

Maybe when the number one "terrorist" group (the USA) stops invading all the countries that don't follow the american style of democracy then the other "terrorists" (the muslims) will also stop. Like some CIA guy , i forget his name, said before "Al-qaeda's (if it really exists) greatest recruitment asset is the foreign policy of the Usa and her client states".

I wasn't being sarcastic. I was talking about dehydration and how its so easy to avoid. I never mentioned winter, but if your husband is cold, might I suggest an extra layer of clothing, works wonders. I have also lived in Africa, not many people there have ac either.

Yeah, back then death squads just roamed and murdered indiscriminately and whole villages were killed and buried in massive, unmarked graves.

supported by his friends in the good odl usa, until he fell out of favour of course, and then he turned into the 'antichrist'

It's called empathy, most Japanese don't have it, for animals OR for each other.
