From a japanese point of view, I think that is time to start to develop our own japanese fighter and make plans for export it. More jobs and more business.

Hmmm.... for export growth an Asian common currency like the Euro can benefit J, because is likely to be a lot weaker than the yen. The other option is currency devaluation, but is not very popular with the voters.

Well... in every country, the longer that people have jobs and that that jobs can provide a roof and food, the opinion of the majority of the people is ''our gov is not the best, but it work enough well for me''. If LDP let the economy fall and unemployment keep growing... Visit your nearest Hello Work office for get an idea of what people think about LDP now, is becoming a crowded place these days.
Posted in: People used to feel they could leave things up to the LDP. That foundation is now very, very shaky.

Hmm... that sounds pretty much the same like the inmigrant workers to me and like inmigrant workers, they get over that or live a poor live in their homeland. Globalization is a two way street.

A few opinions that I readed or heard from employes inside the companies and buyers on the streets. The J market is so protected that the diference in quality betwen the same products for export and for domestic consuption is noticeable. The high protectionism, make the same company very competitive abroad but non competitive in J.

10,000 yen a month on food!? Is there any english translation of these magazine? I really can use these.
Posted in: At first I was astonished, but now it seems quite normal for someone to spend only 10,000 yen a month on food, even though it's amazing when you think about it.

Agree that we must to develop in other markets, but I can be more happy, if we close free trades with these countries that allow us to sell them cars made here and get cheap food from them, in place of export jobs there and pay heavy taxes for keep alive ghost towns in J.

@kenjinakasone
Right now, get a job is very dificult. I know people that have to pay car and/or home credits to the bank and some of them just got kubi as a xmas present. The business are reacting faster than Aso and the LDP-Komeito coalition. From their experience from the lost decade of J, they cut jobs and close factories as fast as they can. So dont give to us the blue collars in the export sector the ''we are different'', because confuse culture with economy is naive in a country that really in exports in a globalized economy.

Is a small company in a small country. 4.5 million dollars is like a droop in an ocean. But is a good place for investment, because is a stable country, between the two biggest economies of south america. The chance of nationalization (stealing) of the company is minimun.

Hmm... I think that the family of our PM own a cement company, not an hospital. So, make your conclusions.
Posted in: The government is squeezing health care and other social programs and then spending billions and trillions of yen on useless construction projects. Ibaraki is just a small example of that.
