Few people is going to complain if SK cross the border and retaliate the Cheonan incident by killing north koreans soldiers. Encourage north koreans soldiers in the border to desert to the south and live free, is far more human.

Funny that the story is changing just as the UN is really getting interested in the evidence. Which of the countries above use German torpedoes? How about Dolphin class subs? Would they fit the bill? Just wondering!

With all due respect can I call your attention to some facts?

    SEOUL Thu May 6, 2010 10:19pm EDT - Reuters

The team of South Korean and foreign investigators found traces of explosives used in torpedoes on several parts of the sunken ship as well as pieces of composite metal used in such weapons, South Korea's Yonhap news agency said quoting a senior government official.

    Seoul 2010/05/07 14:00 KST - Yonhap news

Investigators are also looking into the possibility that a German-made torpedo might have been used, potentially a move by North Korea to disguise the attack, as South Korea uses German torpedoes. Foreign specialists from the United States, Sweden, Australia and Britain have joined South Korea's investigation into the sinking, as Seoul has sought to ensure the probe is transparent and objective. After the investigation is complete, South Korea could invite experts from China and Russia, countries close to North Korea, to provide them with a first-hand look at the ship's wreckage, Defense Ministry spokesman Won Tae-jae said.

The key point is the dates. Today is may 24 after the ending of the investigation, that was mentioned in May 7 and 6 on the begining of the investigation, these is not new for people following the news closely as the south koreans do and the ROK gobernament taked many steps for be transparent with the investigation from the begining. It dont look to me like the story changed just when the Un get interested, the investigation concluded that the torpedo was made in North Korea. I dont read any news about experts from the investigation team going back and saying that the torpedo was made in Germany.

I find amazing that some people can believe that the Obama administration can kill sailors of an ally of the US. What is so difficult to believe that Kim can do something as despicable as an sneak attack?

Example A: Blowing the Korean Air Flight 858, the surviving perpetrator reckoned that it was an order from Kim and even writed a book.

Example B: Kidnaped South Korean actress Choi Eun-hee and her film-director husband Shin Sang-ok for producing propaganda films that glorified Kim Il Sung and his son, Kim Jong Il. The couple escaped to South Korea in 1986.

Example C: The abductions of Japanese citizens from Japan by agents of the North Korean government happened during a period of six years from 1977 to 1983. The North Korean government has officially admitted abducting 13 Japanese citizens.

Elvis bizarre records make him a prime suspect, even without the evidence that ROK collected and analized a time long enough and with an international team that give credibility to their conclusions.

NK dont need high tech for do an ambush, time for make preparations can replace the lack of equipment. The "stealth fleet" is a bunch of old submarines and mini-subs that focuse on surprise attacks and covert operations, they know well the aerea where they operate, the coast of the korean peninsula.

P.S. "Why is not Japan in the list", the DPJ? A pacifist country with a more diplomatic administration? With that line of thinking "why the martians are not in the list to?".

    Sorry for the rant.

I agree with smithinjapan. Yes, I an go without a cell phone for calls, but then I need a pocket clock or a wrist watch with alarm and calendar and read news on the internet when I am eating (I know bad manners). If we can replace the credit card, keys and ID with the cell phone, then is going immpossible dont carry one. But until then is like an electronic version of the swiss army knife. I can live without one, but I like having one. Just like cars.

I eatead american, ausie, japanese, brazilian and argentine beef. Sadly, I dont tried canadian yet. If we talk about who produce the tastiest I think that is the argentine beef for export to luxury restaurants. But if we talk about what is going to eat the majority of the world, is the cheaper low quality meat from feedlots. No matter what some people say about fat, I dont like fat on my beef. In my opinion fat is for minced meat in the hamburgers.

herefornow -- I take that you dont hang out much with japanese. When I see common japanese citizens near the nationalists, the majority ignore them and keep walking. If they are forced to stay near them, they can look embarrased if a foreigner look at them. If a foreigner ask to them "what is that?", some can even feign ignorance. People dont sympatize with groups that have reputation of links with yakuzas and most think that ask the help of the police is pointless, because these groups have links with conservatives in the LDP. They are "untochable-nuts".

The fact that the US gobernament own 60% of GM, dont improve the image of fairness. Maybe Toyota have to take these to the international court of justice.

Now, yes. But less bases than before. Today enviroment is more about trade and currency, than about soldiers and nukes.

If J leaders try "really" hard to improve relations with China and South Korea, in 25 years, less bases are going to be needed.

If the the East Asian Communitty become real and not just "a pipe dream", in 50 years, maybe no US bases are going to be neded. But that is too far in to the future, perhaps beyond our lifetimes.

People talk like it can happen overnight, but in J changes happen at glacial speed (2 meters per year), so dont hold your breath or talk like is the end of the world just because the relocation of "one base".

Guys, I think that the question is very clear that is about "animated films". Avatar show real actors, so is not animated, in the best case is an hibrid. Scoby do, Salior Moon, Monster, Deathnote, Simpons, Family Guy and South Park are TV programs. In the best case they get adaptations to movies, that looks like a very long episode or a very compresed serie. If the question have to be more narrowed like some people said before on these thread, then expand it to hibrids and adaptations maybe is not a good idea.

If we're talking about quality, US animations can't be beat. Frame rate is much higher in US animations as well as mouth movements must match. Japan anime is not mostly for children, but lack's smoothness or attention to detail.

I agree with nemoflow that you need to elaborate what do you mean with frames rates, because I never saw a noticiceable differencein a movie theater. I want to bealive that you are not making comparations by downloading low quality copies and watching them on your computer.

Also lipsinc is less important than voice acting, you can have a perfect lipsinc and a poor voice acting can destroy the emotion of an scence more than poor lipsinc. Some movies made me feel like I wasted my time and dont was worth my money, because it was just high tech but a mediocre artwork, for example Final Fantasy was forgetable. To be honest I am more interested in if the tale is inspiring and/or touching. If you measure quality by tech in place of art. Then obviusly we never are going to agree.

J, because US animated films is mostly CG for kids. Compare "Toy Story" or "Shreek" with something like "Ghost in the Shell" or "5 cms per second".

Hmm... More paranoid nationalism? These ideas spread by the media only encourage xenophobia. Is the result of chose to cope with a shrinking economic growt in place of keep growing with inmigration. In my humble opinion we need to learn from Europe that demolish national barriers is good for peace and business.
